I think natural is so much prettier than white, especially in Balenciaga leather that I hate to even say it, for fear of alarming the white B-Bag lovers. However, I would want both in a split second.
It's a wardrobe thing - and a flexibility thing, for me. I rarely wear anything calling for white, and white gets dirtier quicker. To me, white is a very strong statement - less of a neutral than any shade of brown or beige or gray/black - maybe even less of a neutral than red or (for me) teal/turquoise.
Now, on a slightly different topic - what the heck color is
this?
It says it's an 06 orange-red. And it even
looks in some pictures as if it's Rouge Vif (except for one, where it looks, well, orangey). It's certainly not Orange Rouille. No matter how light I picture Rouge Vif (if there's really a run that ran lighter than the one I have), I can't get it to "orangey red" - it's one red that, to me, has nary a drop of orange in it. And I'm a pretty big fan of reds and an orange-red wearer deluxe. My name should be Orange Red.
So - is it actually 07 Vermillion? If it is, I think that's just yummy and I want it. But I'd hate for people to buy a Rouge Vif bag and think they were getting an
orangey red. I'd say it's a cool red.
You can see that on the
ateliernaff rouge/red page.
If you look at the top photo there, the 04 True Red definitely looks orangey and the other two are cool.
In the second picture, you can really see the Rouge Vif's strawberry undertones and relatively lightness in hue, compared to 03 red, and of course, the orange-osity again of 03 red.
In the last picture, it seems to me that Rouge Theater is
even more cool in tone than Rouge Vif, and of course, deeper in hue. But even with the cooler red next to it, I can't see any orange-red in Rouge Vif.
That leaves Vermillion, right?
