Hello
Most importantly get the transfer off as soon as possible! If you’re at Hermes habd it to them and let them handle it if they say they can’t then there are color transfer removers that can be either purchased or let a trusted professional shop handle it for you. The best option is to treat your clothing that had dye bleed with vinegar wash to set the dye . and use a protection lotion on the light colored bags that pick up stains most easily.
Let me know what Hernes says ….I’ll check back
Good luck

Thanks I was already home when I noticed. I did get a little off. My SA is going to send to spa which I know will take forever… hopefully by next summer when I need my summer colors.

That sounds like a plan
If you have a local shop that you trust ask if they can help . In my experience the sooner it’s removed the better.
Good luck

Any suggestions to help smooth out the creasing on back of this B35? Bag is 10 years old, Clemence leather. It is unstuffed in photo. Other than stuffing with pillow when not in use, storing on its back or using an organizer is there anything else I can do to smooth out the indentation long term? Thanks!

Hi there
Sounds like you are doing everything you can to make it not get mire slouchy . However fixing the creasing is probably not something you can personally do. Some shops iron the leather , or steam it not that I would recommend either of those things , some shops might open the panel and insert a stiff material
inbetween the interior and exterior leathers. All rather drastic… in my opinion.
some leathers are relaxed slouchy and soft
And some are stiffer and harder… trying to make one in to the other is usually not a winnable war. If possible find someone who loves a slouchy birkin and sell or trade it so you get a stiffer leather birkin ?
Best of luck , doc

Thanks so much for the prompt reply! Appreciate the advice. I think I’ll move on from this bag in hopes of getting one a little more structured.

Good Morning Docride, hope this finds you well. I just (like 5 minutes ago) purchased a HAC 32 in black Fjord (2008) from Fashionphile, its not in my hands yet but from photos I can see a couple things. I love love a HACs dimensions and the gorgeous graining of Fjord, I also love the color/hardware combo so I’m hoping this is a bag I can turn into a permanent piece in my collection And enjoy into her vintage years.
The leather looks a little dry, there are a few tiny white marks and the corners show decent rubbing. I’ll attach their condition description at the bottom. So I’d like to condition and clean it myself and then get some use out of it for a while before sending it to spa. I’ve considered doing the corners myself but have 0 experience. My questions;
What products should I use on Fjord to clean, condition?
Is this bag and its current condition good enough to wear for maybe a year or 2 then Spa, does it need spa right away, or is the condition so that I should return it and wait for something better, knowing HACs are far less common?
Thanks for all your help and advice!

Handle: Surface wear, edge wear, wear at resin glazing
Hardware: Scratch(es)
Interior: Creases, scuffs, surface wear, marks, imprints

Hi Doc, so leather definitely feels dry to me, say that being totally unfamiliar with Fjord but I would love to condition it. I went over it with a damp microfiber cloth and not much dirt came off. the wear to the corners is not significant but the back handle, the glaze has worn down quite a bit. I’m ok with carrying it this way and replacing the handles in the future. I’m going to go over it this morning and search everywhere for any tiny cracks. It also has a perfume smell which was not mentioned. The structure feels pretty good, I may add an insert to prevent further sagging.
I really love it
What kind of conditioner can I use? (The only thing I have right now it Cadillac, I’d like to use whatever is best suited to Fjord)
Is it safe to wait on the handles and corners? I know Fjord is out of production now.
What can I use to rid the perfume smell?
Where can I pay for authentication? I want to be sure before I cut the tags.
Is there a reliable source to purchase a box or can I purchase one from H when I do Spa? A box was the only thing it didn’t come with.
Is there a way to know if the bag has been retouched by anyone? I want to be able to H Spa in the future.
Thanks so much!

If you have wear on the corners and it feels dry and you want Hermes to spa the bag then simply bring it to Hermes and let them handle it for you . That will authenticate your bag as well. This is the easiest best option to cover all your questions. I hope this helped ?
All the best ,doc
