Forgot to ask you this part. Here are some leather splits on the sides of the flap. Can this be re-glazed?

Ps price hmm you know I’m not sure did you check similar bags recent sale prices ? Is this a reputable seller? Have they got a return policy in place ? Those things are worth extra in my book .

Thank you so much for looking into this for me Doc. I have contacted the seller and asked for more up close photos for the handle’s area. Will upload as soon as I get them.
They are Japanese reseller called Brand_JFA with quite high rating on eBay and they do have 30 days return policy.
And I am thinking to ask bababebi to authenticate this bag before purchasing it.
I haven’t actually research the recent price sale for similar bags but I will do it now.

i Do not see anything that gives me pause but I encourage you to use the extra eyes on your purchases when possible to protect yourself

Hi Docride, I looked at your care guide but could not find anything for Sombrero leather. I just purchased a pre-loved Kelly. It has really subtle superficial scratches and scruffs that are only visible in strong outdoor light. Someone had mentioned using Lexol wipes. Would you recommend this? Any recommendations for regular care and managing the scratches (I know it’s very prone to scratching but I really love the matte leather). Thank you in advance!

I have been reading your wonderful posts all night today and discovered that I might be allowed to address my question about help for my beloved Barenia Kelly to you. I hope it's ok that I had already asked this question in a different thread (barenia and red wine) that I had first found using the search function in my despair for help tonight. (Sorry, from EU, not English speaking country, so please excuse some maybe not so accurate expressions). Also, I thought, I had to react immediately, but, well, I am not really happy with the results.
Yesterday someone dripped salad dressing on my Barenia Kelly (thank God only 3 very small drops - but spread over the front) and then 1 drop of disinfectant. I tried it with distilled water and dapping with tissue paper - nothing. The disinfectant drop was rather bigger. I had then applied talcum, but I couldn't manage to dust only the tiny droplets.
My questions were and results so far are:
1. Does talcum powder dry out the barenia leather, especially if there is some hardly recognizable left all over the bag?
2. How long should I leave the talcum powder on?
Here is the result (6.00 a.m in EU): I left it tonight for about 1 hr wiped off - 1st with tissue paper- nothing - then put on more water and talcum on top (hoped for Capillar reaction) 3 hrs later:
the stain of disinfection was not so dark and sharp edged and like the top of a needle anymore, but now looks like grown longer and around a wider - though less visible - flat stain, too, size about where the talcum was put on.
I had used paper tissue and then soft cotton cloth to dust of the talcum and since in stronger light, there seemed to be a matte mini rest of talcum all over, I used a damp (distilled water) clean cotton cloth to wipe the whole bag and then again a dry one. Then I have let the bag dry for about 6 hrs and result now:
One of the salad dressing stains looks like 2 times/3 times longer! than before AND has a matte lighter area around it
- the 2 others are a little bit less visible, but with an area around them, too;
. disnfection stain: longer (5 times than before, shadow around the needle like looking darker stain, like a galaxy around a planet
3. Should I only wipe the talcum with dry cloth again or should I wipe the whole bag damp (with water or distilled water) again? Or what should I do?
Do you think, you could give me advice - also where I could buy your emergency kits (for Barenia, Box, Chèvre, Ardennes, Togo, Clemence?) in France or Germany?
