I wear a Blue Topaz. Both my husband and I were born in December a week apart and we met in December. So my e-ring is a Blue Topaz. Plus I love Blue Topaz!

I'm an april baby...diamonds are my birthstone. I don't particularly like diamonds, I like to have color. Even my engagement ring is a pink morganite. I have a diamond wedding band but that is the only diamonds I wear that I love.

I have a French cut ruby band and an antique Gruen watch with rubies...both are occasional pieces.

March's is aquamarine or bloodstone and I have an aquamarine pendant set in YG, love the gemstone but not too keen on the setting. I haven't got round to changing it yet but will do at some point as I love the idea of wearing it.

Your ring and bracelet are very pretty! I absolutely love garnet, it isn't my birthstone but my Italian grandmother had a beautiful garnet fancy ring which has been passed down to me and I think the colour is so beautiful!

Thanks! Ooh can we see that pendant and ring? They sound really pretty. I wish my own grandma passed me down some things - she had so many daughters and my mum and aunt got her jewelry. My paternal grandma wasn't much of a jewelry wearer, only rings, again she had several daughters so none for the grandkids LOL. Oh except for a gold ring she gave my sister when she was still alive.

Actually, when my best friend had her second child (and first daughter) last year, I bought her earrings with her daughter's birthstone (pearls). Lucky she didnt have an April baby though! It's a great idea (if not just a reason to buy more diamonds, like a reason is needed :graucho:)

I make a habit of not buying the baby a gift (until later) when born, and only buy a gift for the (always forgotten) mother. It is always the most appreciated gift of any occasion and such a pleasure to be able to do so, especially since its something a bit luxe like a beautiful robe or earrings or something.

I buy something for the mum as well! It always makes me smile to see them pleasantly surprised to receive something for themselves, not just the baby.
I was born in july. When I was in middle school i used to wear my birthstone all the time, but i haven't worn rubies in at least 10 years. i just dont like the color anymore.

Yep rubies are like garnet for me - they have to be a certain colour and depth to wow me.

Another January baby checking in! I can't believe how many of us there are here. :smile1:

Yes, I adore garnets and wear them a lot. I love that they come in a variety of colors and are so versatile. And relatively inexpensive, too, which is important for me.

Yay another garnet! Yes I wouldn't have been able to afford a stone that big for my ring if it were a diamond :nogood:

Beautiful garnet ring and bracelet! My birthstone is emerald, I have one tiny pendant with it, should wear it more.

My kids are blue sapphire and diamond. I have an eternity band and pendant with those that I wear quite often.

Thank you! I love emerald, too. Something about the green...

I'm December born and I love my turquoise! I find it the happiest color of all. If having a bad day, a pop of turquoise always helps. I've always wondered if this is because it's MY birthstone.

It could be.. :smile1: .I like turquoise in outfits, not so much in jewelry, except on other people not on myself. It IS a happy colour.

I'd love to see that ering of yours!

Thanks everyone for replying! If it isn't too much to ask, I'd love to see the jewelry you describe. I'm thinking of getting another, bigger, garnet ring this time in a fancier setting for fancier moments LOL.

Mine is an emerald. I would like to have an emerald ring someday but I understand it is a soft stone and subject to damage. So I kind of look around but not seriously. I saw this lovely ring on our recent cruise. It was beautiful but at $30k, I decided to hold off. I am going to do a right hand ring diamond at some point in the next few years so this would derail that plan for a while.

I thought I would share the picture with you anyway.

No, I don't. Mine is emerald and I don't like emeralds. Even if I had the money for a nice quality stone I would buy something else.
I adore rubies, sapphires, and amethysts.

Another April baby. My yearly birthday present to myself this year was the Tiffany Etoile band in platinum.
