I love the pouchette. I think all of my Neverfulls have it except the Ikat ones.

I use it as a wallet/wristlet (it holds my phone) when traveling, to carry lady items some days, to hold masks (masks in a zip lock bag then in pochette), etc. It is great when you use a Neverfull for work. You can grab the pochette and run to lunch or for drinks afterwards!

I love my mini pochette too. They days it holds my earphones and chargers.

I personally think the NF Pochette is a complete waste of time. Too narrow to be of any real use, looks ugly bulgy, looks horrid and cheap as a clutch - looks to me more like a shrink wrapped office document storage thing or a pencil case. Only use I can think of is for phone and a couple of cards or maybe panty liners en masse. Sorry but I just dislike them - can you tell??!!!!

I much prefer the pouch that comes with the Goyard St Louis, even though it's smaller it's much more practical in design as it can be used as a wallet or to put essentials in inside the bag.

I bought my Neverfull a few months after it initially came out so mine didn’t come with the pochette. Tbh it’s always seemed so greedy that they’re marked up so much. I’ve only seen a decently marked NF Pochette a handful of times (300-350) range. It’s beyond me why anyone would spend upwards of 800$ on a neverfull pochette

Look how well these Pochette been selling on the second hand market I think it proves many people are considering them very useful, looking good enough and willing to pay good prices for them.
Me personally I bought a Marley Dragonne clutch and had the vachetta replaced on it and it cost me less than half of what a NF Pochette goes for. It’s bigger and much more functional and I always receive a lot of compliments when I wear it. The Pochette is cute but looks so flimsy

while I agree with you that there are lots of clutches wristlets would be more practical than neverfull pochette but Neverfull Pochette holds the best value if compare to vintage clutches. the well used NF pochette resell right now between $250 to $450, new from $450 to $650, some people maybe able to sell vintage clutches for high price or higher prices than NF pochette but that may require some luck.

If you have vachetta replaced at LV, great, you will be able to sell it make a profit since you bought it at low price, if you had it replaced at third party, then that's another story, many places would consider that's not saleable.
