i travel with my birkins more and more especially reading articles and news on inflight theft cases. Birkin bags are so fit for circumstance like this with a lock for extreme security but just the flaps and belts that come hugging across the bag must give a turn off image to burglaries. My most well traveled birkin is a black togo 35cm phw so its a low key bag too.

I went to Rome with my Kelly all buckled up, and had no problem. I think this applies to every city and whatever bag you have: close your bag completely, and I always carry it in front with my hands on it
protecting it in crowded places. I carry some small notes in my coat pocket so I don't always have to open and close my bag. Rome is so beautiful you would want your photos to be pretty as well with your H bags ;)
Have fun!

So true!! Thank you for your input! I really love to bring my B on a vacation with me, especially when I go to dinner after sightseeing!

Love this idea!! I had to bring my B home after purchasing it in Paris and still traveling through Europe. I bought a Longchamp Pilage to protect it while going through airport security and when I wanted to be discreet to.

Love the idea of using a longchamp to bring a B on an airplane! I use my read canvas le pliage longchamp, and really like your picture with the candy-coloured Pliage!! :)

ITA!

Did you see your bag become damaged after a few travels (I mean increased corner wear, scratches)? or does it just appear like normal wear and tear?
I always bump into people, especially in crowded airports. And yes the upper flap of my B is useful in three cases: when I want to make the brand's name invisible to indiscreet eyes, when it's raining, and when I enter crowded places and want to make sure my bag has a closed top. In all other occasions I leave my Birkin open :) to me it is the most glamorous tote bag of all times and seasons!

I used to travel mainly with my chanel totes and flaps. They are pretty hardy, secure, and worry free for me. Yet, more and more, I travel with my hermes. Like many others have mentioned, I place my H inside a long champ tote to protect it while moving through the airport and whilst on the plane. It works quite well for me and I am always happy to have a bit of Hermes with me when I land!

this particular birkin i travel most often with is black togo and since i load it up i see more scratches and push marks inside of the bag than outside ;))). i did recognise a very light gash mark across the back body exterior but i take it as personification and don't mind about it. still a mystery when the bag got this slash but its really light must have brushed against anything. in any case hermes aftercare is about these problems and they do have excellent aftercare, not to worry too much

Hello Ladies and Gents!
I just wish to have an update on this and hopefully get some advises.. i recently got a k32 and wishes to bring it in london on Friday. I am really excited to use it but thought of our safety. I am an Asian and we (DH) experienced being pick pocketed by a minor in a Train in Paris. Good thing my hubby felt it so he suddenly made the boy go away. Apparently the boy didn't go far and tried to victimize a guy just across us. Imagine!? He did not succeed as a man (i believe he's french) pinched him on the ears. Well, he did not go far even after that and just waited for the train to stop. I wonder if there are cases like this in London. I am really giddy to bring my kelly out.. Any recent experiences?

You unfortunately see this in many countries. You just need to be aware of your surroundings at all times while traveling.

Hi all!!
Here come pictures from my trip to Portugal using my B! I used an L Longchamp pliage to store my bag in the plane. I am really happy to travel with my H bag, as it is my most used and most preferred bag. The pictures can serve as testimonial to those who wish to travel with their H, but haven't yet ;)ImageUploadedByPurseForum1441407250.887394.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1441407276.332201.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1441407295.808489.jpg

I've been meaning to buy a longchamp for this exact purpose. These pictures were a good reminder! Happy travels!!! [emoji5]️

Longchamp is the best! I carry everything in a Longchamp especially now that in the US TSA Precheck does not even allow a tray for your bag! Usually an Evie in the Le Pliage next to my camera with my laptop and Kindle against the back. Then cosmetics bag which is bigger and bigger the longer the flight is (not about makeup , but over 10-12 hours flight it is so full of vitamins and flight cream......).
Depending on location I may substitute a Kelly or very rarely a B for the Evie, and I will generally put my Chanel Batman WOC in my roller bag for nights out.
I tried using an Onimaitou for easy access to passport, boarding pass, etc., and have had too many TSA tell me it's a bag. I try to explain it is like a pocket is for a man!
If I am traveling to the developing world or a conflict area I do NOT bring Hermès except possibly one simple piece like a non-logo bracelet.
