I'm thinking of getting the Longchamp Le Pliage expandable travel bag. How many H bags can you usually fit in it? My bags are B30, K28 and L30. My envirosax doesn't come with a zipper so I'm a little concerned. Thanks in advance.

Hi dear tPFs! I have another question about traveling experiences with a B. I hope anyone can help me!
I am visiting Rome this year, and wanted to bring my B. Is Rome safe enough for a B? I am not planning to do late night sightseeing. And I know how to use common sense in general. Bringing another bag, however, is really not my favorite solution as I am very attached in using my B.

There are Birkins all over Rome. As long as you use the usual precautions you should be fine.

I have found that my leather GP 36cm is a great carry on bag. I usually carry a small pilot case as a carryon and my GP as my "under the seat bag" - I have plenty of room for most trips. It drives me crazy when people try to jam an overstuffed full size suitcase in the overhead! Lol

Of course, DH says packing is my superpower, so that helps!

my black togo 35 birkin gets to travel the most. i don't worry about it going thru security belt, sits on the floor of plane and airport cart, its perfectly fine. it is a very well made bag and the cost was of it is par with usage, right?

My expandable LC bag easily fits 2 B35s and I carry it on the flight ~ have never been stopped ~ and couldn't live without it as I travel with 2-3 Bs at times.

I find B too recognizable in asian countries to where I'm about to travel. I'm going to be tasting street food and in/out of taxi a lot. So, I will bring K and E instead. They can fit in the safe in the hotel room. I don't baby my bags, but don't want to have them stolen.

Before I got my B I used some 'special bags for holiday', which were smaller and more lightweight than my usual bags. But I always got so annoyed with a crossbody bag and with smaller bags because they did not carry all of my essentials, and everything similar to a large shoulder tote, because of bulkyness under my arm... After I got my B, I seriously carried it all the time, and got incredibly used to it. I decided that it should not rest in my closet during any trip, because the purpose of buying it was to use it. Now I'm used to carry it in the crook of my arm or handheld and cannot wear any smaller bag, any crossbody bag, and any shoulder bag (except my timeless classic chanel). So I definitely will bring it to Rome with me. It's such a beautiful bag after all!

Yes for sure! I bought my etoupe B for use and decided to bring it with me everywhere. Some tPFs mentioned in a post that 'those bags were made to be enjoyed'- and I definitely agree with this statement, and with what you said about their price. And I really believe that if your bag rests in your closet during your holidays, their real purpose is not fully accomplished! Many thanks for your input!

Thanks for chiming in! Yes it helps! I also have my LC to protect my B!!! I will post pictures in this section on 'how to safely bring a B safely to your destination', after my trip.
Btw I went to Greece last year and it was also the first time that I traveled with my B. I was very happy to have my B with me!!! And I felt safe with it, and could not really tell if any pickpocket was eyeing it.

Yes sure! I was in Indonesia for a visit of Jakarta, and Bali. I must say that most people would not recognize H or Chanel, unless they are very rich. They also have so many fakes there!
H bags were in general very rarely seen! If you travel to Japan, Hongkong and SG, they might be more aware of H.
