It's my work travel tote. I use an organizer with a zip top (nylon, so it is also easy to wash) and my work computer is a MacBook, so it is light. I usually shove my laptop in my rollaboard for transit to lessen the load. The straps of the St. Louis are not puffy coat friendly, so sometimes I skip it in the winter and use a backpack instead. I work in a research organization, so no one pays attention to accessories.

I'll be using mine mainly for travel and can't decide between the SL or Artois. Does the zipper make that big of a difference/does it matter?
Well, I think it depends how you plan on traveling and how comfortable you are with an open bag. Currently, I’m on a road trip in our own car and I’m carrying my Anjou (basically a SL with a leather lining). I’m not on public transportation and I’m not fiddling around with a large, cumbersome suitcase, so I don’t feel vulnerable in this situation. When I travel abroad (or even domestically on a plane), I’m only using my Artois MM. I’m not worried about things spilling out of it when I shove it under the seat in the plane. I love the zipper and feel much more secure with that bag when I’m out in public, especially as I move from city to city. That’s just me.

I’m traveling in Tokyo right now and this is the best travel bag for places like Tokyo when there’s a lot of walking and I need to pack things like water bottle, umbrella etc. I need a bag that is light on its own, somewhat water resistant and with a zipper and a wider shoulder strap. I normally carry crossbody when I’m in LA but I really really love the Bohème hobo for traveling in Asia and Europe!
