Do you take off your rings ?

OT but I almost lost a diamond earring. I was at a casino wearing a mask and noticed it was missing. I was looking all over for it. Fortunately I found it in my top or bra. Now I won't wear those earrings if I have to mask. They had a good jumbo back. the only reason that happened was the mask.
The same thing happened to me last week! I found mine on the car seat, thank goodness.

I don't remove my e-ring and wedding band. Also don't remove my 3 bracelets on my left and 2 bracelets on my right. My necklace is also on all the time. The only time I remove them (except Cartier love) is when I have a massage session. And I don't wear earrings.
Other adds on for the day are usually additional bracelet or ring which will be removed once home (because they might be too chunky or too much a stack for home/sleep comfort).

not really. i’ll take my rings off if i’m handling raw meat/kneading dough or putting on lotion, but that’s about it. i figure if i’m paying enough for my jewelry i should be able to wear it doing anything. i’ve never had any problems with it before

That’s my question. Do you think your ring are used faster if you sleep with it or take shower with it ?

rings, watch, earrings come off. I have a couple of chains on my neck that stay on. one of them is too much trouble to put on and take off

and do you think that the jewels you keep on 24/24 are used faster Than those You take off ?

I always take my rings off at home. I never remove my earrings (studs or small hoops) or bracelets (Love bracelet and hammered Alhambra). So they're on when I shower, sleep, etc.

and do you see a difference between the jewels you keep and the jewels you take off in durability, brillance ?

I always have my wedding + engagement rings on, including love bracelet and diamond by the yard necklace, even to bed. (Includes housework, shower, cleaning etc.)
Never remove my earrings except to clean them.

All my other jewelry I’ll take them off for bed, shower, but may or may not take off when I’m doing housework.

and see difference with the jewels you keep and the jewels you take off ? Are they more used ?

I used to shower and sleep in jewelry but my jeweler got into me. Said oils and soap build up on the jewelry and sleeping in it can weaken settings/ prongs

yes but when there is no diamond. Do you think it’s ok or not ?

Never take my jewelry off. rings, necklaces, and braceletes all stay on. Although I only cook vegetarian so I never have to handle raw meat. And all my jewelry is gold/platinum metals. No gemstones. No costume jewelry or fabric cords.

my engagement ring and wedding ring are platinium too. That’s why I wasn’t concerned by wearing them 24/24 7/7. But love and JUC are in white gold so I’m asking mysel if it’s ok to keep them or if I need to take them off every day

I take everything off before bed. Rings normally come off as soon as I get home, I don’t like to wear them when cooking or cleaning. Even when out I always remove them before washing my hands/putting hand cream on.

you are not afraid or loosing it or forget on the washbasin ? My step mother forget her wedding ring in a restaurant a the toilet while she washed her hands. So now I’m afraid and don’t take off when I’m outside for any reasons.

You may have a more clear picture of the patina, wear, possible damage formed with a JUC or love bracelet by doing a search in the Cartier section

and see, this thread re rhodium plating JUC versus the grayer patina of the love

note: some people love the patina of WG, even new. At Verdura Belperron, it’s actually referred to as grey gold.

do you see any difference in the jewels you keep and the jewels you take off ? In term of durability ?
