I am classic & feminine...in jewelry, clothing, & accessories. I have many vintage/antique pieces of furniture, accessories, & jewelry like keodi. but like HauteMama said, I also have several very large pieces of statement jewelry. I don't think that size determines what is classic or understated.

in general with jewelry, I do not care for a lot of accent diamonds. so even if I have a 30ct gemstone, I don't think it's flashy because it's not surrounded by loads of diamonds. a large gemstone by itself has clean & simple lines...classic.

I tend toward classic & feminine not only because I consider that style to be a better investment that will get more use, but because it's genuinely what I prefer. it suits my personality.

This goes for me as well, I have a passion right now for bows, which I consider a very feminine, but also somewhat classic, object.

I think its good to have a few trendy pieces, that way you always have something special to wear and to bring all new life to an outfit. But I also prefer to invest more in classic pieces because I know I'll be able to wear them for many years and not just a season.

I just buy what I love! Usually, it is more classic pieces. I am cutting back on the amount of costume jewelry I buy. I am mainly sticking with fine jewelry now. I don't want to spend much on pieces that don't last and are very trendy. I just buy what I love. I don't care much if it is in style or not. Wear what you love and you will always be in sync.

I am drawn to trendy but try to talk myself out of it. I'd rather save for the classic pricey pieces that I can pass down to my daughter. Although some of my grandmom's trendy costume stuff often comes back in style.

My really good stuff is more classic in design like my pearls and pieces handed down to me by my mother. Now on the other hand, I love rings and love big chunky rings for everyday they're part of my "subway jewelry" collection. I even have a few CZ rings for that purpose to have a little fun. But that is confined to rings only and no complete sets in it.

I like more classes pieces now. My every day jewelry consists of my 1.5 ctw maritni studs and Michele deco baguette which is small and not too flashy either.

I might have one accent piece, like either a large cocktail ring or a shirt I'm wearing, but other than that I like more simple, classic pieces.

Definately classic and understated. Although I do wear 1.25 (2.50 tcw) diamond studs everyday but for some reason they don't look flashy or too big. Plus they are set in a antique/art deco setting and the diamond cut is Old European...so they aren't flashy at all. I don't like wearing a lot of jewelry.
I am the same with my clothes very refined and classic, kinda like Charlotte from Sex in the City or Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girls. My bags are typically black, very little hardware and timeless. I like Hermes, LV (suhali or epi) and Chanel.
I have been this way since I was very young.
