Can I ask how much is a 30cm birkin togo bag now? A couple years ago, it was about $8000, I think...
My sister is in Paris right now and she is looking for buy one for herself, but she said the SA over there are... not as nice. Lol. They won't sell you one even if you have money to spend. So since I live in US, she asked me to ask how much it is here. I called the nearest store in here and they told me that I have to come down to the store.

I read around that it's really hard to get one.

Not that I own a Birkin but if I were ever to get the chance I would have to go for a 30. I've come to the conclusion that I'm really more of a smaller bag person, and just feel that a 35 would look a bit wrong on me. Plus I don't tend to tote a whole lot around. A bigger bag is always an essential for those occasions where you need to carry more, but seeing as I can barely see myself ever owning one Birkin let alone two my first choice would definitely be the 30! Both are lovely though...

Mine all are 35, I love a big bag to schlep all my stuff around in. Plus I love the look of a bigger bag on a smaller girl, since the bags are so structured, a 35 makes it feel more indie

I am getting my first Birkin and this thread is great! I was not sure which size to get. Believe I can pull off both sizes because I do have a 35 kelly in gold now. After reading this thread I'm leaning towards 30 in bright color (a rouge family color with GHW) or may even go croc (matte black with PHW). BTW - I'm petite 5.1 and 95

I think it depends on how you dress. 30 is more elegant like a handbag and 35 more casual like a tote. Best is to own both sizes because you will equally use both on different perfectly matching occasions.

i agree 100% with honhon here in that the best is to get at least 1 of each size, as there will be the occasion to use a 30 and a different occasion to use a 35.

however, if i had to choose just one, for me a 30 is more practical as an everyday bag just because i don't carry a lot of things and i don't use it for work where i would need to tote papers/books/documents etc. i think more than considering for how you dress or how it looks on you, you should consider which size is more appropriate for your lifestyle. think about when and where you would use your B the most. i am petite at 5'2" and i consider that both the 30 and 35 look fine on me.

i am around 5''2 so visually i much prefer the 30. practically though both bags are great. the 30 loads up nicely and i even managed to put my macbook 11" into my black box birkin
yesterday and today

for work, the 35 is great. i can put in the macbook in easily and all my documents and files too.
