Love this color-blue, but I've never bought Burberry coats, so not sur on the sizing?????, I'm a 10-12 size , could I get a XL , AND WOULD IT WORK?:confused1:
How 'bout the inside what color burberry?
Thanks, I'm in the south as well so this would be perfect
Hi! This is my first Burberry coat so I was unsure too. Luckily, I was able to try it on at Neiman Marcus where I first bought it. I got a Med and I'm a sz 6/8. It may look ok with a fuller fit but I liked it with more of a tailored look. It fits me a tad bigger than the picture on the website with the sleeves being a little longer so if they're cuffed, the Burberry pattern shows. I saw you'd ordered the XL/hope it works for you. It's really cute on!

LABAG, in anticipation of your new arrival, here's some pics that show the interior.

Thanks for the pic, love this colr so much!
I called Saks, and they got ahold of an SA at a store and she said they were running very small-that a xl should be find.
I want to be able to wear a sweater underneath. mY only concern is the shoulders, don't want them drooping....
I have to wait and see for now. This was the last one online in blue-yah!!!!
The lining matches my scarf, it looks like the traditional tan and plaid.
Thanks for all the help -you gals are great!

UPDATE: My blue quiLTed jacket came in and she is really nice, love the color, and the xl fits perfect. I am not happy with an xl coat:cursing:, but she must run realllllll small, as did the SA says....
She matches my scarf -same color She's a keeper, especailly since I am in the south, perfect for fall and winter.

I think it depends on how cold it gets where you live. I live in Los Angeles and it is perfect. It will NOT keep you warm if you were to live in NY.

Ditto. I live in southern Louisiana, perfect jacket for me, practically all fall and winter. Its lightweight pretty thin IMO, I'd wear as a jacket indoors as well, I got the cobalt blue-beautiful color,

am currently staying in London/UK sometimes spend my xmas in japan or Hong Kong. any ideas?

or would you say its much better for say temperatures around 10 degrees? and wont be suitable for -0 degrees /snowing?

btw...if its rather thin, you reckon it would be fine layering this under another jacket?

thanks ladies

I just got a purple Edson jacket recently - my first Burberry anything. Had to get a size S cause they were out of M's but it fits, just no space for a thick sweater. It'll be great when Autumn comes and it's just starting to get chilly. :)

yay, i can join this club! i own two Burberry quilted jackets. i got the first one, the Constance in black, when i was out shopping on Rodeo Drive (was inspired/enabled by beljwl). And the second one, an Edenson in bright blue, was obtained also thanks to beljwl! (thanks, B!!)

anyway, i love these jackets, are perfect because they are not too warm and can be comfortable worn indoors as well as out.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned getting a quilted jacket during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. I called a couple days before the sale to see what they still had in a small. They had red, blue, black, and gray. I am not a red or blue person. Being 28 with black hair, I thought the black was a little safe and even a little mature. Even though I hadn't seen it, the SA recommended the gray as being something different. I trusted her judgement and preordered the gray. Here are some pics. I loved it when I saw it in the store, but now I am worried that I look like the Tin Man from Oz. Please tell me I am crazy. Should I hold out for another color? I don't even know what other color I would prefer. Here is a picture w/o flash and with flash.
