Do you own a Burberry Quilted jacket?

I joined the forum to see if I could authenticate a burberry constance jacket that I bought on ebay from someone who said it is authentic. Noone in the forum seems to know whether the thread inside the lining that forms the diamond pattern is supposed to be beige thread or if it also was made with black thread. I have seen other postings asking the same question, but I've never been able to read an answer to this. This is why I haven't posted more replies.
Can you help with this? I'm sure others are wondering the same thing. Thank you.

i have 3 quilted jackets. i just noticed on my 2 jackets that has a made from england label comes in a beige color thread while the one made from spain label has a black color thread. hope it helps!

I want one badly. I am not a trench person, I am petite and do not think they look nice on me; shorter and more fitted jackets are better for me. I am about 5'4" and about 105 lbs. Last weekend I tried on a stunning quilted short and fitted lamb leather jacket in a butter-like color and it was just awesome but of course the price was steep. I may save up for a warmer quilt in the fall because where I live it gets really cold and it stays cold for months so that would fit me best. Last year they had the most gorgeous black velvet quilted coat filled with down but again the price was high but would have been worth it, I am sorry about not getting it but at the time I did not want to spend that kind of money on a coat.

Has anyone ever washed their quilted Burberry Jacket? My Constance jacket is somewhat loose on me and I can either have it altered (makes me very nervous and will cost $100+ at Burberry, or $40+ at Nordies) or, try washing it in delicate cycle to see if it shrinks just a little bit.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Should I try a wash first and then alter if needed?

Yes I do and it's in white! I want more but I want them on sale as original price isn't worth it to me...so I just wait for a good sale. I had to return a S for an XS. I'm 5'2 and fluctuates between 99lbs-102lbs.

How warm are they?
I live in Houston and we've had some cold winters( even snow) the past few years!
I need a new coat and I've lost 40 lbs so I now fit into the XL quilted jacket!

Unfortunately, the Constance jacket runs a little loose/large. However, washing/drying it will only shrink the inside lining (50% cotton blend) since the outside is 100% polyester. You might end up with very "bunched-up" quilted fabric...
