Do You Only Carry Leather Bags?

I am intrigued by this. Don't mean to hijack this thread (sorry, OP), but can you please share more info on your custom made bags and wallet?

Well the store is called satchel. The website is www.shopsatchel.com. Their website shows some bags but does not really showcase what they can do. I went in with some design ideas from bags that I liked and my own feel. They draw sketches and get an idea for dimensions. I selected the materials, color and finishes with their input. They order the necessary material and then will complete my bag. But they ask your input during the process. I am having a duffel bag in deerskin with initials and an extra shoulder/cross body strap in addition to shoulder/handheld handles, a quilted lambda cowhide leather bag (feels just like lambskin but more durable) with patent lambskin accents, a python embossed lambskin wallet, and a deerskin hobo with braided handles & unique accents. I love the process thus far! I can't wait to get my bags. They also name bags after you and sell if unique. The quilted bag has my name. :D

I like leather bags even though I ruined my first one >.< but I'm thinking about changing it up this summer. Maybe a cute straw bag for the beach, just need to find the perfect one :)

oh, how neat! The entire process sounds like fun! Lucky you!!! Will you have a thread showing off your pieces once completed? I'd love to see them.

In the summer heat, all I want to carry is nylon or cotton or straw. I'll carry a leather bag but sometimes it seems too much for a SAHM. It's okay if one is a working professional tho.

Nope. I actually only have a few all-leather bags...the ones that I carry most of the time are all LV canvas, so only the handles and trim are leather. Honestly, I tend to prefer the canvas in many cases, just because I love the look/patterns.

The link doesn't seem to be working. I'm really interested in this.

For daily use, or when I go out to do sports etc I still prefer to use my trusty Lesportsacs. leather is for the days when I'm going out, so not really for everyday use!
