Do you like Damier because that's about the only option?

I am wondering if members out there like Damier for it's checks? Or because it's about the only option without vachetta leather and is reasonably priced compared to Mahinas and Suhalis?

I dislike vachetta leather so I am only considering pieces without such as Damier, Epi and several items from Vernis line. Personally, I DO NOT LOVE the Damier checks but it's the most practical. :confused1:
For non vachetta lovers, would you love Monogram more if it doesn't come with vachetta leather?

I'm not sure I would like mono more if it was without vachetta, maybe I will, but I like damier not only because it's without vachetta. At first I didn't like damier at all, but now it grew on me, I wouldn't buy it if I don't like it, only because the vachetta.

I would not buy more mono if it didn't have the vachetta. Mainly because it's already the most popular pattern and everyone carries it. I only have two mono bags and actually about to get rid of them. I love the vernis and the Damier. I also like the Damier Azur and of course the Mahina but for some reason I've grown tired of the mono and like to carry styles that aren't seen as much.

I like it because it's ANOTHER option. Sometimes I like the fact that monogram is so noticeable and other times I just want to be under the radar. I like to be able to switch up. And LV is not my only designer ao I have many choices. I just like nice bags

Wow I have to say I thought I was the only one who thought the ebene was kind of ugly! I love love love the azur but not with a patina. I was about to settle for a speedy in damier because it's less of a hassle (even though I don't think it's that pretty). HOWEVER, I do love the trevi. It's my favorite bag because of the shape. While I'm not crazy about the damier ebene, I think it suits the bag. So I guess it depends on the shape/style of the bag but in general, ebene is one of my least favorite prints

I genuinely like the Ebene and Azur. They're chic and comparatively understated.

Maybe it's because in NY where I live, LV (real and fake) runs rampant. Every other bag is Mono.

I didn't like the damier at first, but the damier ebene grew on me. I find some of the damier bags to be stunning, like the Trevi. I still don't like the damier azur though.

Reminds me of the time when I showed my mom the damier ebene Speedy. She said the damier looked like Reese peanut butter cups, LOL.

Ebene is actually my favorite among all the patterns. I do have mono and azur as well...but somehow I'm drawn to all the bags that come out in Ebene. It's also the pattern that goes well with most of my outfits too.

Not a fan. I don't wear brown, so would never use it, plus I just don't find the pattern appealing. So I don't have any ebene. I don't have mono either...again because it's brown, even though I like the mono pattern.

Damier is actually my favourite pattern, I have only a few mono bags and that enough in my opinion for my collection.

I'm not really a fan of epi or vernis so I don't even own any of them, unless something great got released I don't see myself buying any either.

I love the look of damier and that the pattern is so understated compared to mono...JMO
