I dont have an e-ring :crybaby:But when I went to my fave jewelry store, I was browsing big e-rings after my purchase but they didn't have any of the 2+ carats mounted. Then there was a client there who raised her hand and said she had a 3! She let me see it but then she also took it off so I can try it on ( I didn't ask). I was really hesitant about trying it on, but she egged me on so I put it on my middle finger and it was HUGE. Very sweet of her but I'd be more cautious about letting others try my ring on lol

I never let anyone try on my rings. I have huge (size 9) fingers and am very embarrassed about this. On most women, my rings would fit their thumb. I do not want to hear the comments...

I think it's extremely tacky and rude to ask to try on someone's ring, esp someone you don't know well. When I got engaged everyone wanted to try mine on, esp at work b/c I have an unusual ring I guess. It's a 6 ct blue sapphire and I suppose it was different. At first i was sure whatever..but then they were all looking INSIDE the band, I guess to see what it's made of and trying to guess it's cost. I suppose b/c it isn't a diamond which can easily be guessed at cost wise, they had to try to see what the setting was made of (it's platinum). Whatever- it left me so annoyed and cynical against people now I don't ever take it off- I just either say no or I promised my husband I'd never take it off. The only person since I've let try it on is my SISTER!!! Now I just think it's plain rude b/c the only reason someone would want to see it that close is to try to see if the diamond is real and that's tacky!!:yucky: People actually said to me "what he can't get you a diamond? What is he cheap?" I was so sickened by that attitude now I keep my stuff to myself. And poor DH, he spent way more on this b/c it was want I really really wanted than he ever would have on a 2ct diamond! And I love it.......

People suck sometimes!!! LOL.....
