I wish I know where mine is. I had a Tom from the Tom & Jerry version which I took everywhere. I remember my mother putting it into the washing machine with my Jerry plush. The head of Jerry came of as was the hoodie of my Monchichi Tom (gosh he was a bold old man under it!) and I must have made the most adorable horrified face. 😅 Of course my mother reattached everything again to where it belonged, but this was of my early childhood schocker. 😂

I hope that this is not too off topic. Initially I said that there was no way I was going to buy a Labubu but now of course I “need” one. I am nowhere near a Popmart physical store. I have spent most of the morning online trying to buy one. They will be reserved for a certain amount of time that I can see but once the time is up they are immediately reserved again; I am unable to reserve one. I am on the app. If anyone is willing to share any tips on how to buy one without going to a reseller I would appreciate it!

To successfully get a Labubu (or any of the more popular IP characters) on Pop Mart, it requires a combination of persistence, luck, and timing.

Persistence - Don't give up. Keep trying. Make a habit of casually checking the PM website and/or your PM app if you're bored or have a few minutes to spare. Quickly check the availability of items either in the form of Pop Now or blind box online delivery.

Luck - My cousin inadvertently bought a Lafufu for me. She was so upset and embarrassed she became hyper focused on getting me an authentic one directly from PM. So she asked me a series of questions about the line and PM drop tactics; loaded the app; enlisted her husband on a couple of occasions to check the app; checked the app throughout the day when she had a few minutes to spare; and within 10 days, had the beginner's luck of purchasing a BiE Labubu and two Wacky Mart figurines. It can and does happen. And remember the persistence part if you really have your heart set on getting a Labubu.

Timing - If none of the usual options (i.e., subscribing to availability notifications, getting into the fray during the heavily advertised major drops) work, it can boil down to timing. Check out the site or your app during odd hours of the day. PM replenishes stock on a smaller scale throughout the day and week. And again I reiterate persistence and luck play key roles!

Many of us are not equipped to have a more complex set up like serious buyers (resellers, fanatic collectors) where they operate with bot speed down to the nano-nano second. The boxes for the Pop Now option are typically reserved many potential buyers deep as soon as the reservation clock runs down for the previous reservee.

They typically release boxes around 9-10pm EST...tonight they're dropping some Big Into Energy and Macaron Pop Now boxes at 9:15pm EST (there's a note on the page for each of them in the app). As you scroll through the boxes, spam click on the boxes to try and click one as soon as they show up on your screen. Or, wait out the timer and try and click one as soon as it gets to 0 seconds. Try not to scroll through boxes too quickly as they might think you're a bot, occasionally click the little back button to go to the previous set, etc. Also lots of info on Reddit if you want to read up on things!

I tried last night when there was an announced drop but I was not successful. I used my iPad instead of my phone this morning and it seemed easier to click on the boxes; could just be my imagination.

Thank you all, for the tips and encouragement! I haven’t been this excited about a shopping score since I was able to buy an Evelyne TPM off of the Hermès website!

I tried last night when there was an announced drop but I was not successful. I used my iPad instead of my phone this morning and it seemed easier to click on the boxes; could just be my imagination.

Congrats to you both . The hard part now is waiting for its arrival . It takes up to 2 weeks (my first one arrived in 7 days exactly but the rest took longer). I also had no idea how excited I would feel upon getting one and how cute/fun they are. Please share when you get yours

The wait can be nerve wracking! We were both lucky with last night into this morning’s launch. My cousin (on the West Coast) and I checked the app during our spare moments and were quite successful. I was able to check out with some of the new Pucky items and a couple more Crybaby items (one for me and the others will be gifts).

But the big surprise was my extremely talented cousin who just always seems to get it right… so on the way to me (expected delivery August 4 since it’s a pre-order)…



What can it be????? Hint is in the color of my signature…..

These are people's true opinions about labubu...dumb, hideous , ugly, childish etc. I have seen worse. These are all valid words that reflect people's feelings about this trend. They are words adults use and that adults should be able to handle. They are not rude but people who might be unsure of their opinions might see it that way.

This trend is a little extra and seems highly manufactured. It is understandable that children fall for this hype but as adults we should know better. To top it off, labubus aren't even aesthetically appealing. I think the critique here goes beyond labubus into the hype, media, lack of quality, age appropriateness , environmental impact, gambling-like marketing tactics etc

As I said before, there should be a new thread for labubu appreciation away from opposing opinions.

I mean, look, if I accept your premise, that means that “rude” is also a true opinion and a valid word that an adult should be able to handle… Seems to me that criticism of the charms is very different than criticism of those who appreciate them.

I’m not into bag charms but these are cute. And I will always stand against “age appropriate” as anything more than a societal construct that should be ignored. Just because it isn’t my thing doesn’t mean it can’t bring joy to another and what’s better than joy?

I also got Hope last night so yay twinsies . I couldn’t get anything at the start of the restock but managed to get some boxes a few hours later. Hope was the first one that I got. I was still hoping to get Luck but no Luck getting her (found out from the hint of what she isn’t). So I did not buy the other boxes I managed to reserve. I am trying to buy only 2 from each version and I already have another BIE coming.
