i didn't request to wait for a quote first, i simply asked for them to do the entire restoration as much as possible. however, i was unpleasantly surprised when she told me, just for cleaning alone was about $450-500.. so it will probably be a lot more because i told her i want it to look as new as possible. i've heard in the past, that it is around 2-250 bucks, but apparently not from toronto!! ah well..

Texasgirliegirl : i find my birkin35 heavy (with stuff) and tend to 'bully' my friends to lug it for me (which they will gladly volunteer), and so i can't imagine myself with a HAC!

I too have a kelly 40cm and I prefer to use it when I'm going shopping or if I know if the place is going to be crowded. The shoulder strap definitely helps ease the weight a lot.But I will still love my 40cm birkins more
my only modelling pic with my (then) 35 clemence kelly. Decided i couldn't make it work and let her go. Would love to try another kelly in 28 or 32 but not in clemence. taken back when I was 5 months prego ... and worn really casually with dark jeans ...

I don't really like the clemence actually. My dream first choice will be a chevre kelly, followed by box or swift and then togo. I like a more relax casual look most of the time but I get tempted with box leather every now and then....

i am an inch taller at 105lbs. i have the 32 and 35! it looks fine. i have seen a smaller petite girl carrying a 35 iris kelly and she looks amazing.. so go for it..
