Do you ever feel like your CL walk a line between chic and slutty?

I dont think (most) are slutty in any way, shape or form. But then again, as prior stated, it all depends on what you wear with them and the attitude that you wear them with. A lot of it is in the walk, etc.

I have a great black leather skirt/suit that I wear both my Bourge boots and Black VPs with during the Fall/Winter and I am constantly getting compliments on my outfit. Now if the skirt were a bit shorter and were a bit harder to sit in, then things might be different!

I know a lot of sluts and none of them can afford CLs. ;)

j/k

ETA: I think CLs are so classic, it would be pretty hard to look slutty in them. Super sexy, yes. But there's a difference.

I agree with most posters, I dress very conservatively, but I wear fabulous shoes. They make the outfit! I happen to think slutty is a state of mind. I don't feel slutty in my CL's, I feel SASSY! I do notice I get more attention (and lots of comments) from the men at my work when I wear 4+" inch heels though........

No, I don't think they walk a line. I was once asked in the Chanel boutique if I was a "dancer" by a lady, I politely told her yes and that I had just relieved her mother off of the day shift:devil: She really deserved it though she was being a :smartass:. And at school, everyone just looks at me like I'm crazy, they call me "Stilettos":roflmfao:

i think any pair of heels esp stilettos can look chic or slutty depending on what you wear...i usually dress pretty conservatively so i feel like the louboutins balance it out and give the outfit a bit of an edge. although i sometimes do feel self conscious in high heels. just yesterday i broke out my greasepaint simples 100 and as soon as we were out the door, we walked past a couple and the man said loudly as he pulled his wife to look at my shoes - "now THAT'S a high heel!" i found it amusing but very weird...

Maybe he's telling his wife his definition of high heels. :p

As Dolly Parton once said, or something like it, it cost a lot of money to look this cheap!

It depends on the woman.

I do shudder when I see some coworkers in their 'Jesus sandals'. I once had the idea to remove them from one woman and burn them. The most godawful shoes I've ever seen.

^^ lol@ women wearing jesus sandals!

anyway, i dont feel slutty in them, i dress rather conservatively most of the time, though i must say i feel very sexy when i wear them (i cant help to check out my own side profile when i walk past glass doors lol! how embarrassing!)

i must say though, ever since i start wearing CLs to work, people's eye just instantly go to my shoes, one day i was wearing minibouts and two men were staring at my shoes when they were talking to each other the whole time lol! and i dont think they noticed i was looking at them when they were staring at my shoes hahahhaa!

my other half loves them too! he now ask in the morning if i am wearing the sexy red soles to work every day!

Honestly, I do feel like I'm tethering the line between chic and slutty when I wear mine in public (especially the higher heel heights), even though I'm dressed in jeans and not baring a single inch of skin (apart from my face and hands, of course :p) I guess part of the reason is because I have looooong blonde hair and don't really feel that I can pull off as much as my brunette counterparts. :shrugs: Maybe it's all in my head, I don't know.

I don't feel slutty at all in my heels. I dress conservative, and CL's add a punch to the outfit. At work people do tend to look straight down at my feet to see what heels I'm wearing for the day. Someone even made a comment that my Iowa Zeppas look like hooker shoes. I didn't even care because the way she dresses she could use some hooker shoes in her life.
