I admire everyone who is doing successful rehab projects!
Aww thanks. The group over at Coach Rehab is wonderful. I learned so much there. I do mostly straightforward cleaning, deep conditioning type rehabs. The basics are rather easy. If you find a bag that has not been abused the results can be amazing. It helps to start with a bag made from quality, durable leather, like the majority of vintage Coach. The better the original quality of the leather usually means a better result.

I wish I knew, I did find a nice burnt orange Coach but I didn't buy it because it was in bad shape. I hope I find something like that again, now that I know a lot more about rehabbing bags.

Well I am glad you brought that up. I ought to say something important though. Depending on how dry a bag is, and the color, rehabbing and conditioning could change the hue of a bag. For anyone intersted in trying this, I strongly recommend a *test* bag, be it one you already have or buy. And it really helps to not be invested in the outcome! I did buy a burnt orange bag, and probably due its age and dryness, it darkened enough that I was a little dissappointed, as I really liked the color of it before I rehabbed it. There is a very experienced rehabber that maintains after using a certain product, the leather may initially darken, but over time will lighten. I did not find this to be true! YMMV!

That bag is gorgeous!
I'm not sure I'm in love with the Nino Bossi. I like it, and I'll probably carry it off and on, but maybe it just needs to be broken in a little more. I put my small iPad in it and between that and my wallet, etc... it got really hard to carry as a hobo. And there's no long strap.
I sometimes feel like I'm searching for that elusive perfect bag that I can carry every day. Big enough to throw all my crap in and yet not a giant tote. I spend a lot of time searching on etsy. Has anyone ever ordered a custom bag from Tana and Hide? Reasonable prices because she's not in the US but I'd have to wait a few weeks for it to get here.

I just ordered a Patrica Nash Braided Bianco crossbody wallet and a Botkier Crossbody Vanderbilt Wallet On A Chain. I can't wait until they arrive. Neither of these two designers make it to the PF, but they are nice in my opinion for different reasons. Patricia Nash isn't actually my taste in terms of style, but she does wallet organizers well and that is what I am looking for at this time.
