Do you ever feel like your bags aren't 'good enough' to post about or reveal?

I think it's very easy to feel this way when you constantly see reveals of very expensive bags, or full on collections. These are great posts and I love looking at people's well curated collections, but I would be just as interested if it was a mix of designer/vintage/obscure/high street, or whatever. I love when I come across a bag on here that I don't recognise, I love having a sleuth on the website of the designer/store to see what else they have. There's definitely quality, well designed items without having to go for the premier designers, or even contemporary. I'm only a student in the UK and have a true mix - some premier designer bags, some from high street shops in the UK, and other obscure things that are from abroad, or vintage etc. I love quirky pieces - one of my favourite bags is a book clutch à la OLT, but from Italy!

All in all, please everyone continue showing off your myriad of finds, whether designer or not - I love admiring them, and it's exposed me to a lot of bags I would never have known about otherwise :D <3

One of the reasons I enjoy pre-loved bags (and anything thrift, consigned , second hand) is that it is recycling at its best! (I missed being a card-carrying hippie by a short span of time). Don’t get me wrong, I buy new items. I was in a relationship for years with a man whose passion was energy sustainability. I went to conferences and work shops with him and was exposed to a lot of information about how natural reasources of all kinds are used and also sadly disposed of. Okay, not to get preachy or anything here. Fortunately for me I figured out to recycle beat up Coach bags in dire need of conditioning. As well as find some sitting virtually untouched in a relative’s closet waiting for some love!!
I love taking an older beat up bag and making it look beautiful! It's relaxing and doesn't cost a lot.

Some of my favorite handbag collections to view are thrifted or just plain old bargain hunted from TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshalls, and other stores like that - but not even high end or well known designers, just bags people happen to like and got for a reasonable price, even if they are faux leather and may only last a season, maybe they are just on trend and fun. I don't know if there's a lot to say about it, but if there were a forum on "Miscellaneous other brands" for that purpose, I'd totally check out people's collections :-)

I ONLY have older, pre-loved bags. Right now I am using a Botkier Sasha, almost 10 years old, it's beautiful and the leather is thick and soft. Most of my bags are around that age, I don't know why people don't use their older bags. All I see in my town are new MK bags. I too have an MK bag, but it's years old. The leather is beautiful, much nicer than the leather I felt at Macy's recently.
Thank you for posting!
I plan to hang onto my old bags for as long as I can because I simply don't think the quality can/will be matched in the future, I already see the brands I have in decline. Which is good, because that means (in theory) that I should be done buying bags, and will just cherish the ones I have. I have enough to last about 3 lifetimes anyway, lol :-)

I admire everyone who is doing successful rehab projects!

You should post some of your bags here!

Beautiful! I would love to find a bag like that - it is structured AND buttery soft! I love buttery soft leather and thought that meant it had to be a puddle bag. In my search for structured and affordable bags, mine have a stiffer leather, and yours is gorgeous! I would just want to pet the leather. I guess maybe it's good I don't have a bag like that...that would look really weird. Ha!

Thank you! :)
The leather is naturally tanned and quite stiff at the moment as I have worn that poor bag only two times until now. It will break in, though, and get softer. I do not think that it will become this soft so the bag will loose its shape. The leather is very smooth and nice to touch. ;) The bag fits a small laptop. And has a shoulder strap.
(Btw. I found it on amazon and it was around 160€. :D)
