I'm righty so handbags always feel more natural on my right shoulder. I've tried to carry them on my left but they always fall down or feel weird.
I'm a lefty when shooting pool or wearing watches though! :D

This is so interesting, I had never really thought about this before. I carry my bag mostly on my right shoulder, if it gets really heavy I switch to the left side but I don't seem to be able to keep it there very long, I always go back for the right shouder. Handheld bags I always carry in my left hand, I don't every seem to switch to the right for handheld bags.

I had heard that you should carry your bag on the "opposite" side that you shake hands with. In other words, if you shake hands with your right hand you should be carrying your bag on your left side. I guess so your bag doesn't get in the way. However, I shake with my right hand and I prefer wearing my bags on my right arm/shoulder because it feels more comfortable.;)

I admire you all who can carry in both sides without being feeling weird.... As it is true for right side shoulder carrier, it does feel a bit uneasy carrying your bag on the left side. I tried a couple of times but my hands automatically will changed it back to right side, very robotic for me for some reason...LOL

Strange is how I am comfortable carrying handheld bag with my left hand!!!! Weird ...

For a shoulder bag, I carry it on left side. I'm right handed. If I carry my Speedy in the crook of my arm, it will be left arm but if I carry it in my hand, it will be right hand. I prefer to carry a bag on the left side because I can go through inside the bag with my right hand.
