Do you carry your bag on the left or right side?

Which side do you prefer most?

  • Left

  • Right

  • Either side don't matter. I'm comfortable and switch between both.

  • It depends on where I wear it, like my arm, shoulder, hand, etc. Combo of both.

It depends on whether I am smoking a cigarette at the time or not,

I will always carry it on the opposite side of my cigarette because I don't want the poor bag to get a smoky smell. : (

GerGirl, me too always carry with my right shoulder.
it's not like it's slipping away or something, but i'm always confortable in my right side. i wore my bracelets or watch in my right hand, i put my ankle chain on my right side too.
but for crook of the arm, i choose left, i never use my right.

I am left handed and always carry my bags on the left.My daughter always carries on the right. I do everything with my left hand other than cut. Those nuns in Catholic school took care of that for me. Not allowed to use your left hand to cut, back then lefties were said to be related to the devil. How sick!!!!!!!!!

I know! My dad was born left-handed but when he was in school back in the 1930's he LITERALLY had it beaten out of him! Whenever he tried to use his left hand, the teacher would smack him with a ruler or whatever was handy (no pun intended LOL). Now he's ambidextrous - he can use both hands equally well.

I'm right-handed and left-shouldered. I can't carry my bag on my right shoulder - doesn't stay put and it totally drives me crazy. Also, if I'm carrying a cross-the-body style bag, I carry it on the left side.

i carry my handbags on the left shoulder, but i'm right handed!

Me too! I think it's because when I was little I always carried my schoolbags on my right shoulder (I'm a rightie), then the doctor told me to alternate so I wouldn't get scoliosis (sp?). I guess I overcompensated because now I only use my left shoulder! :p

ALWAYS on my left. I'm left handed, I don't know if that has anything to do with it, however I do alot of things with my right hand that most lefties don't. If I have my bag on my right shoulder I feel extremely uncomfortable. I can't even use a handbag in my right hand.

I carry on my right shoulder. They won't stay on my left shoulder at all! (And I'm right handed, too.)

My mom carries hers on her left shoulder and she is right handed. Because of this, she always has to walk to my left -- if our purses are side by side we keep bumping them into each other! :p
