Where did you buy it? I will definitely check it out if I can find it.

I bought the Sensationail easy removal base coat at Walmart. I saw it at Walgreens and CVS too. It wore the same for me as any other base but better than Gelish base for brittle pealing nails. I have oily nail beds so I usually only get a week out of my manicures. My nails were healthy after removal and didnt split crack or break after a week of leaving them bare.

Does anyone tried using a rnp basecoat under their gel polish? If so, which one do you use, and does it help speed up the removal? I think I've seen a couple people mention this in their posts, but haven't been able to find details. Any pointers would be great!!

Thanks!!!

I do and Yes it does. I use OPI Natural Nail Base coat before the gel base :smile1:

Thanks so much for your info to both of you! I'm going to check out that other thread right now and give it a try!

Here is my most recent mani. It's Sensationail Enchant, 3 coats. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten away with 2. I used the China glaze chevron magnet on the ring finger and Sally Hansen wave magnet on the middle and thumb. It's a dark silver, gunmetal color. It's very sparkly, it really reminds me of the liquid metals line with its matching glitter/large shimmer pieces.

^^^ Those flakies are so cool! My current mani is bombshell beauty with ring finger covered by 1 coat of China Gelaze fairy dust. I LOVE this color and can't stop staring at my nails.

Sensationail Evening Sand is the perfect muted neutral pink-beige. Or beigey-flesh-pink? I'm not sure how to describe the color, but it kind of reminds me of the color of a doll's skin. It's more of a neutral pink than pink chiffon. Definitely one of my new favorite nudes. I used 3 generous coats here, for opacity. Love this!

You reminded me how much I like Bombshell Beauty. If you see FingerPaints gel Snow Globe Shimmer on clearance at Sally's you should get it - it's Gelish Las Vegas Nights on steroids - lots of holo glitter & it seems a tad bigger sized than the Gelish.

I took your advice & started using RNP base coat under my manis & love it. I started by only using it on part of the nails, but still had problems with removal from the tips, so now I do the whole nail, leaving a small space near the cuticles. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to make a stop by Sally's today.

I'm so glad to hear the rnp is helping with your soak-offs! Let us know how extending the rnp to the free-edge wears. I have problems with lifting (thin, peeling, bendy nails), so I had to stop putting it on the free-edge. I might give it another try, since my nail-peeling is much better and I now scrub in the base coat. Alternatively, if you usually cut/file down your nails between manicures, you could try doing it before your soak off. That helps me deal with gel on the free-edge by removing much of the area without rnp, It also breaks the seal at the free edge and shortens the length of the free-edge (more stable nail for pushing with orange stick).

I didn't find yet a good website that delivers in Switzerland.. And if they do, generally the shipping costs are fast higher than the products themselves ..

And here, we don't have a lot of choice and the price of one color is around 20 Chf (which is like 24$) .. Yeah it's crazy !!
Luckily a friend of mine lives in England and last time he came in Switzerland he bring me all the colors I ordered an his address :)
Hi @Jebo

I'm also living in Switzerland and found a few places in Zurich that have many of the colors: Manor & Globes at Bahnhofstrasse and also apparently Import Parfumerie sells Sensationail online (for like 15CHF/color) but then, shipping costs 6chf. I'm heading to the Import Parfumerie at HB to check out if they have any colors there and I will let you know ;)

I live in The Netherlands and store prices here are similarly crazy to what you describe for Switzerland. With help from google images and the nail care reference guide on this board, I mostly order ibd, OPI, truGel, gelish, lechat etc from ebay.com There are quite a few sellers with a large selection and reasonable shipping fees to Europe, (seller stayglamm, nikobeauty, etc). I typically pay between 8-12€ per bottle including shipping. It usually arrives in a week, sometimes a week and a half. Because these are typically small packages with 2-3 polishes at a time that go through our regular mail system I rarely pay import duties, but I of course don't know how the Swiss authorities deal with this. If shipping is with DHL, Fedex etc I ALWAYS have to pay import duties. Hope that helps!
