I saw a new set-up for Sensationail at Walmart earlier this week. It looks like they are carrying most, if not all of the Fuse colors. In exchange, they have reduced the number of regular sensationail colors. I opened a couple of the Fuse colors and the consistency is quite thick. I might consider one later, if I see a color I want.

Also, Sensationail has released 3 new base coats! One easy-soak-off formula. One strengthening formula. And one nail brightening formula. See pics below.

My Walmart just did this too! They even had Heirloom Lilac! Always wanted it, anyone know if it fades?

Heirloom lilac does not fade! One of sensationail 's known faders is coral sunset. It becomes more orange with time. Still a nice color though. It looks like sensationail may be actually (hopefully ) adding heirloom lilac to their permanent selection. It came out spring 2012, and should have run out by now. Plus Walmart and Walgreens have added labels to their displays.

I thought that they might be adding it too as my Walmart hasnt carried it before. My Walmart also got in about 6 new Sally Hansen colors, I picked up 2 of those as well!

Here is my most recent mani. It's 1 coat of raspberry wine over 2 Coats of sensationail midnight rendezvous. The ring finger is 3 Coats of raspberry wine topped by 1 coat of Orly shade shifter.

I grabbed a bottle of the Fuse polish today while I was grabbing some clearanced Sensationail colors. I got online to find the directions and you don't use a base or top coat. It also says it's thick because it's supposed to be a one coat polish. I'm going to try it out soon and see how it holds up. I'll let you all know.

People have been complaining about the durability of Fuse on Sensationail's facebook page. Has anyone tried Fuse for color in their normal gel mani, with base and top coats?

I tried it without a base coat and top coat like the directions called for.

1. It had horrible coverage, definitely not a one coat polish, more like 3 for me. Obviously other colors could be better. 2. I just used alcohol instead of their cleaner to wipe the finished nail to remove any tackiness and it removed part of the polish I think. It ended up looking horrible and I didn't have time to remove and start over so I just added a layer of Gelish Top it Off to help give it some shine at least. I don't know what their cleaner is made of, but I guess my alcohol was too harsh. 3. For some reason they insist that you have to cure each finger as you go instead of doing all your fingers on one hand and curing. That takes way more time and I just don't have the patience for it. I tried doing the next finger as the last one cured, and I felt the light from my lamp was affecting the polish in the bottle. 4. Removal was pretty bad. I left my acetone on for 30 min and it still was a rough removal. It also stained my nails as well. I definitely think there needs to be a base coat under the polish.

With all that said, next time I will just use it like I would any other gel polish with a base & top coat and not cure between each nail and see how it comes out. I'm assuming it will be much better results.

I used the Sensationail lamp for Fuse. I got the silver one and it cured well for me. No color on the alcohol wipe. Also soak off was almost like hard gel. Very difficult. I did like the ease of only polish. Not really worth it to me though. Love the Sensationail lamp... not so fond of their polishes.

So excited for SOGs. I've been wanting to do this for about a year now but kept puting it off, i finally just got so bored last Saturday that i just threw up my hands and went shopping for a good looking gel polish. This is my first attempt, a simple French manicure. I've mixed systems, the Quo by Orly base/top coat with the Sensationail pink French manicure set. I painted my tips freehand with the bonus mini bottle of white instead of using the pre made tips. I think that it went well, but I need more freehand tip practice to really perfect that free edge. (oh I also already had a uv lamp that i got a a christmas gift a few years ago but this was my first time using it, so didn't need to buy a whole "kit".)

Wow, you did a great job for your first SOG mani, & a French to boot.
