Thanks, blackbirkin40!! I did a search for "Inside the Orange Box" in this thread before I posted but didn't find anything. So is Jean the seller at Inside the Orange Box? Are they located in NY? Please let me know. Thanks so much!! :D!

She used to be a member here but was banned. Her site's address will not show on tPF ... you'll see asterisks instead. I don't think she's in New York unless she moved.

She has a lot of fans here, though!

Mine too! Jean helped me to sell a couple of brand new bags I bought in boutiques and did not want anymore, and she was just great. First transaction took a few days (it was a very fast sale), second - around 6 months, I think... In both cases she was fabulous and very professional. Great service.
I am very happy I have "met" her, since now I know that I am able to sell the bag I don't need in a safe and convenient way (my first experience with a recommended seller was quite stressful).
The problem with H SO can be that you place an order and it can take any number of years to come. Sometimes it comes after quite a while, and you already had bought something similar... or simply don't want this style anymore (3-5 years is a long time!). I have found out that it's not so easy to sell a brand new Kelly, even though it's a box calf...you will loose money and it may take some time.
Just wanted to say - it's great to know someone trustworthy who can help you to buy or to sell:smile1:

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right forum but just wanted to comment on my experience with Designer4less. This is a UK based reseller and not on the recommended list yet but I am sure that is a matter of time. They have appeared on eBay in the last few months with some wonderful stock and a promise to source what you want. I was after a BBK so thought I would give them a go. Within 3 hours I had an N stamp bag available within 10 days. In the end I went for a second hand barenia kelly from a private reseller but the service was great and the owner really honest and helpful.

There aren't many UK resellers on the list but I would recommend them even if you want that holy grail. They had (a few weeks ago so probably long gone) some great new croc bags too but I must admit that I leave planet Hermes at Lizard so unfortunately out of my league.

In the end I didn't buy so please do all the normal checks but isn't it about time we had a reputable online UK reseller?

Hey guys, does anyone of you know, if I can buy a Birkin (if someone knows a dealer) that already was used, i mean that it's preowned and that is much cheaper that the one from boutique (orginal price):p?

Sorry if I go a little OT for this thread.

Masaa, I know you have posted this question in three threads today, and that you have asked in the past about how to find birkins for around 1,000 euros.

I see you have also recently asked about the authenticity of a bag that turned out to be fake.

I am afraid, if it is a birkin that you have your heart set on, that there are no shortcuts. Of all the Hermes bags, this holds its value. You might find a nice used one for about $6,000 or so, but if you are looking in a very low price range you are only going to find counterfeits and heartache. There is just no way around the issue.

Please refer to the thread about respected resellers. Look at eBay, follow the online sites of good sellers, and research and learn. And save your money for your future goal!

There are wonderful Hermes bags that are not birkins. I have collected Hermes for about 17 years, and I know there are bags of varying price ranges--and some fascinating styles.

But if you have your heart set on a birkin you will have to pay--or take enormous, unwarranted risks. I have never, EVER seen a genuine birkin sell for the prices that I think you hope to pay. And I have seen a zillion fakes.

And please remember when you are telling people online that you are looking for a cheap birkin that buying and selling through tpf are not allowed. It is rare, but there is always the possibility than an unscrupulous person might see your posts and offer you something. This too is a bad, bad idea.

Thank you very much. I know, that you also have to wait for it, cause my mom has it and she never wants lend it to me.. And that's why I decided I have to buy it myself. I already have 3000€, but this is still too little money for a Birkin.. But yes, you're right. I'll have to collect money :shucks:;)

Actually there is some discussion regarding designer4less in Authenticate This Hermes thread that seller has been listing several birkins that either fake or authenticity is questioned. I have been watching this seller as well but some of the listings don't even have pictures, I am not sure why you have to list bags if you don't have pictures of the actual bag.

A few friends of mine in US and Asia told me that seller required a deposit and when they asked seller for guarantee the authenticity and full refund deposit if the bags they ordered not authentic, the answer they received makes them uncomfortable to move forward. They have been told that seller promises she can get most colors, leathers, etc because she has very very good contact at Hermes but when pressed if they will get their deposit money back should the birkins not authentic, seller hasn't been able to answer at all.

So, I would be worry to deal with particular seller because you don't have any guarantee and protection.

Obviously I can't comment on your friends experience but as for pictures I think I know why the items are initially posted without images. When I enquired about a BBK it would have been available in 10 days and a deposit required. I didn't go ahead with the purchase but Designer4less knew that a BBK sellier was a very desirable bag so went ahead with the transaction and ordered the bag anyway. She listed it and advised when images would be available. It sold before pictures were ever posted.

This seller sells lots of authentic Hermes bags. Designer4less is a limited UK company with nearly 700 positive eBay feedback and a growing reputation in the Hermes community. I would personally trust her bags but at the end of the day if you don't like some aspect of her sales process then like all of us you are free to take your $$ elsewhere.
