Is there any information on how often Hermes returns colors back to production?
Have anybody seen Gris tourterelle or argyle in 2022 offers from the store?
I already have bags in etain and etoupe and others in pop colors so think that rather argile or Gris t will make my collections of neutarals completed

Okay, so I know the short answer to "What is up with Rouge Casaque" is "some colors just aren´t available in many seasons"....But seriously....I have been wanting a bag in Rouge Casaque for over two years now, and I have not experienced it in season for just as long. Im open to Kelly, Constance, Kelly-to-go...But every season, my boutique (Copenhagen, Denmark) tells me "its not a color that is available this season".
I´ve even spoken to someone at FSH, they´ve told me the same thing. I´ve seen many Instagram posts through the last few years, stating that "now the Rouge Casaque" will be in season, but when I ask my SAs, they all say that it´s not. I know that some stores may just not have it in their collection, but it really does appear that it is NOT.IN.SEASON.
What I don´t get, is that it´s clearly a classic color for Hermés. They have it in lipstick and in nailpolish, which indicates that they know its a more classic red than many others. Then why wont they produce any bags in the color? :panic: I just dont understand it.
Have any of you seen Rouge Casaque in stores these last few years? And do you have any idea why Hermes have put this color completely on hold, and instead they are using Rouge De Coeur etc.....
Someone with more Hermes knowledge than me, please enlighten me :whut:

Hermes rotates and rests all of its colors, save for the true classics of noir, etoupe, and gold. While perhaps a distinctive brand color, Rouge Casaque is not a perennial classic color of Hermes. Same is true for colors like Feu, Etain, and Orange H which the brand is known for but that doesn’t mean they are constantly available. Since Hermes seasonal releases follow no set timetable and because the company is generally very secretive with even the most basic information, the best way I’ve found to determine if a color/item is actually in production is to try to find the item on resale with a current/recent year stamp. If you can find a Z or a U stamp rouge casaque non-SO bag, you can have hope that it is in production. If not, nothing you can do but wait for it to hopefully come back, or buy on the secondary market.

I’ll further add that part of the confusion may be due to rouge casaque being on the current special order color list for the 2021-2022 a la carte season. Some social media folks incorrectly state that the SO menu reflects current production colors for both regular bag offerings and SO bags. This is an erroneous assumption as it is somewhat common for colors to be available for SO but not available for normal podiums orders.
