So I was inspecting my Dinky and the inside flap almost looks like slight pitting in the leather. Is this normal or does anyone else have the same thing on their Dinkys? I haven't bought a new glove-tanned leather bag in a long time so I'm not sure if this is normal or I'm just being super anal lol?!?! Please help! I really don't want to have to send back, but will if I need to. I tried rubbing some conditioner (older white plastic bottle-no probs) into the spots, but no change. Thoughts?

I think everyone has there own comfort level so it's hard to say. Also your photo may not be showing it as clearly as you see IRL. But as a reference I just got my Dinky 24 in black and the inner lining has flawed stitching causing wrinkles and looseness of the lining overall, more on one side than the other. I'm debating too.

So the inside of your flap looks fine? Ugh about your stitching. I don't know if the spots are normal and I'm just being anal. I'm so used to buying pebbled leather where it's a lot more forgiving when it comes to any "flaws" or abnormalities. I know glove-tanned is more prone to that sort of thing and more noticeable. I just need someone to tell me I'm just being picky LOL [emoji14]. Seriously though honest feedback is what I need. Then I think if I were to send it back I might get something with other issues. #overthinking I can't EVEN imagine how I would be with a bag that costs a lot more! Yikes lol!

To be honest, I didn't look at the lining as closely as you did, now I'm afraid to look because if I do a return, it will be the 2nd time for this PCE due to bad stitching. I also had to exchange a Rhyder 33 for the same thing. Coach quality standards are really what puts this below premier designers in my mind. It's not that high end has less flaws because they do. It's just that their customers are less willing to put up with it. With Coach, they always can send it to the outlets so they don't care. I was told they don't even have a category for "defects", only "damaged" or "customer changed mind" which puts the blame on the customer. With "damaged" they have to cut up the bag in store.

I will be posting photos soon of both flawed bags, the other was a mini duffle which I returned for this Dinky. That had bad stitching on the outside.

I would love to see your photos, flaws and all. Interesting they don't have a "defects" category. True they can always send to outlets or throw it up on FOS. If it's cheap enough someone will buy it.

So other than the issues how are you liking the Dinky?

It's bigger than the regular size, taller by about 2 inches and comes with the chain strap with leather woven through which actually matches the gold stitch trim on the outside so it looks more uniform than the other Dinky 24s in mineral or chalk. But its also obviously unadjustable and for my short height of 5', I an only carry it crossbody or double up for shoulder carry which is slightly too short in drop length. I like my drop length to be 13"-15" so I don't have to lift my elbow up to open the flap.

It does comfortably fit my tablet which is about the same size as a mini ipad - 8 x 5.5. I like it overall but its really not a necessity by any means. I just got it to commemorate the 75th anniversary. I also bought a black wristlet to use as a thin wallet but it has the oxblood trim so its not a perfect match, it's being delivered today.

I know a green one is coming out in April so I might exchange for that if I see it in store but I'd lose out on the discount. It's a like, not love.

Oh gotcha. I have the opposite problem since I'm tall lol. I was so thrilled that the reg size had an adjustable strap that is plenty long on me for crossbody - so happy since that's the way I plan to wear it most! I would have liked a little larger size like the 24, but the chain strap kinda deterred me (for now at least lol). I like to have the option of the leather strap cause I don't always want to deal with a metal one. Though I did buy the metal chain for when I want to switch it out. I have to say I'm really impressed with how soft the leather is! I was expecting it to be firmer so the softness was a pleasant surprise. I love mine! Sorry to hear it isn't love for you.

I think I've decided to keep the one I got. Tpf helped. [emoji3] I'll post pix soon!

What if you do up the strap like this? I have the regular dinky in pistachio and I am quite tiny as well, 5 feet 2 inches.

So you clip one side and string through the other and back around again.. So it makes a full circle... That kinda makes the strap in the middle. Not too Long and not too short.

Unfortunately, the Dinky is too dinky :-)

I had bought the 24 Tea Rose, which is a little larger, and loved it. But once I tried to put some items in realized how small it is. I typically use small bags, but this one won't be very practical if I have to leave behind important items. So back it goes, unfortunately. (good for my pocketbook, however!)

I love the look of these bags though! I can just enjoy the pictures....

As a sidenote has anyone here had issues with getting credits posted for returns when sending back to Coach? I had returned a mineral saddle bag, and it is past the 5 day window. I called them, and they seem to think the credit will happen in the 6-7 day, but I am not so sure. Just checking to see if anyone else has had issues now or in the past.

Don't forget that Good Friday might have pushed things back a day. I would probably wait another day or two before worrying.
