Oh and don't feel bad about your questions. That's the beauty of The Purse Forum. Everyone understands. :smile1:

Thank you so much, Katie, for your reply! I looked through your thread and am obsessed with the way you stack your bands with the ering. It looks beautiful! Your husband is so sweet, and I love the "rock" story.. Congrats on his new job!

I agree that I need to try on some wedding bands with the ering before making my decision. I plan on doing that when I visit the jeweler.. I am really starting to grow more comfortable with the ring in its new setting the more time I spend wearing it, and love it more the more I look at it. I'm just terribly indecisive.. It's a really bad thing!

Thank you all once again :)

When we went to go purchase the ring, I had something else completely in mind, so I get it. It's a commitment.

Hello, just wanted to post an update on my decision.

We went to the jeweler yesterday (yes- a month after we were supposed to ) and I tried on various plain shanks as this was the look I was going for. The jeweler also presented me with wedding bands and allowed me to try those on with my ER and with the plain shank ERs that she was showing me. My FI did not like the look of a plain shank with an eternity diamond WB, and especially not with pave diamonds on the WB (which is the kind of WB that I would like). He prefers a plain shank with a plain WB. When I tried on the stackable pave WBs with my current ER they fit perfectly together and looked beautiful. Both he and I agreed on this.

I decided to keep my current setting, and suggested that in some years we should revisit getting an upgrade and a reset... DF agreed =)

Thank you all very much for your advice and suggestions!

Also a good option. If you can reuse this setting as a wedding band it would save SO MUCH MONEY.

I have had wedding bands from 1.9mm to 2.7mm and I also have one slightly over 3mm... the narrower the band and smaller the stones the better your main diamond is gonna look.

The engagement ring is the EXACT same in all the photos.

Ame, where is that 2.5 mm shared prong band from? Is it custom? I love it and have been looking for something similar for a right hand ring. Sorry, came to read updates and saw this pic... Temporarily distracted.

Wonderful outcome! So glad you kept the custom settling your FI had made for you.
