Like who? Can you name a few please?? I know of a few Native American Brands that are made here, and I own a couple I really love. There's one called 'Tribe America' and their bags are all hand made and beautiful! They're full of fringe, genuine buffalo bone beads and Buffalo Head Nickels that I have to be in the mood for, or can only wear certain places. They're actually less $$ than Coach however, depending on the bag. Are you aware many Coach bags are between $500.00 & $750.00 now? They're not quite as reasonable as they used to be, don't I wish! lol! I'd love it if you'd name a few that haven't started outsourcing, thank you!
In Coach range you have Frank Clegg

In premier range you have:

I like to have different bags for different contexts, regardless of their price. I have a small collection of Hermes, Chanel, Celine, etc. but I still love and frequently use my cheaper contemporary bags. I have a Cult Gaia and novelty Kate Spade elephant rattan bag (so out there that it actually stands the test of time!) that are perfect for summer brunches, a Marc Jacobs tote that I love for overnight trips, and an APC crossbody that I usually use when traveling.
While the leather and overall quality in my more expensive bags is generally better, I prefer my contemporary bags for situations when I don't want to baby my bag, want to be more low-key, or want something more quirky and fun.

With luxury handbags prices skyrocketing I find myself more & more often admiring more affordable handbags from mass market to contemporary or other brands priced at under 1000€ for a handbag. I have a nice curated collection of luxury handbags that I enjoy using, but there are so many nice handbag designs from all the price points! I feel like with certain luxury handbags being more “mainstream” on social media, I like finding unique styles that are not very popular on social media, not necessarily trendy bags.

Also depending on the occasion, especially in summer, I love wearing more affordable bags, so I don’t have to worry about the sun and heat, water or sand damaging my handbag.

Nope! Do I tend to use my luxury bags MORE? Yes. But I still use my contemporary bags. In fact I've been using my favorite Rebecca Minkoff tote for a few weeks now. I can't seem to want to transfer my things into something else. I also just bought an adorable Kate Spade bag with watermelons all over it from the outlet just the other day. While I do tend to spend money on luxury bags more than I do contemporary, I still appreciate and use contemporary bags from time to time!

I went from no brand -> luxury brand only and now -> contemporary brands. I enjoy looking and buying new bags. Unfortunately I cannot afford to buy luxury bags every season/ month. Not to mention some luxury brands are cutting down the number of bags and consumer need to hunt for the stock.

Not at all. I love my luxury bags, but my tastes in those types tend to run toward bags that have to be babied (smooth/soft leathers). I like that contemporary designer bags can still embody my personal style and allow me to carry them in a more carefree way.
I will say that since I've bought my luxury bags, I am much more choosy about which/how many contemporary bags I want to buy, as I don't want to drain my funds too heavily or too often when I have pricier bags on my wishlist. So, I'd say that I certainly use my contemporary bags a lot, but my decision-making when buying them has become a bit more discerning.

I have stopped buying contemporary handbags when I started buying luxury. My strong fondness for LV and Chanel prevents me from buying any contemporary handbag even if I like it. I will never be completely satisfied because it’s not my brand(s) of choice and in the end I would just end of returning it.

I’ve definitely stopped buying bags since buying H…

Now I have a short wishlist of 4 exotic bags..

I curated my collection down to 9 bags, mainly by gifting(from 15).
I don’t use all of the bags I have, but don’t want to sell at a loss, and atm don’t have any to gift, but May reduce my collection further in the future..although I don’t want to buy inexpensive bags, and have an irrational fear that all of my bags will wear out if I get rid of too many..although I could afford to replace them..

I’ll reassess my collection next year, and possibly gift any that I’m not using, and replace if necessary with bags that are a more useful size, but for 2023 I have purse peace.
However , I do want a Horizons bag, and have been advised to proceed sooner rather than later, so I’ll look into that, but there are another 3 bags I’d like..

I’m sure after that I’ll find more..it’s just what women and bags are like!

I was like this too. I went from no brand-luxury- to contemporary. All of my handbags are contemporary now. However, not going to lie I am a little tired of known brands whether they are contemporary or luxury. I feel like certain celebrities and influencers cheapen the brands. It is too much overload in social media. If I watch a youtube video and an influencer says, "I got this handbag gifted to me." I am completely turned off from the brand. I won't purchase it. I am on ban island and enjoying what I have but I do have a list and the majority of them are no brand bags.

On a day to day basis I’ve found that I only use my luxury bags. I have a lot of bags to rotate through as it is. However, I still buy and love longchamp as I use them for travel and for situations that my bag could get dirty or ruined (water park, camping, etc) I also have a decent sized Coach collection that I don’t use often, but keep for my daughter. She’s 12 and uses them from time to time. I also will use one when I’m in a situation where I don’t feel comfortable carrying a luxury bag; like the hospital or daytime/casual charity events.
