Hi everyone! So I have the opportunity to buy the medium Victoria’s in platinum for a good price. Does anyone have a pair and can comment if it’s too much for daily wear? My SA said it feels heavy on and Gets in the way of wearing a call headset. I have dbty studs for everyday so wanted to go a bit bigger on the Victoria since it’s be a milestone gift to myself. Pics attached of me with small and mediums on!

I'd honestly go with medium, because as you get older, you'll appreciate having a more significant pair. I think both look fine on you, but since you have the smaller dbty pair, I'd go with the medium for the Victoria pair.

Congrats on your milestone. I have not tried on the medium pair however they look fantastic on you ! I own the small and they are great for everyday. Can’t comment on the medium as I never tried them on to know about comfort.

Thanks for the weigh in. I went with the mediums. The price was too good to pass up and I totally agree that I’ll appreciate something more significant. Nothing makes me feel better about turning 40 than big ass diamonds!

I checked with Tiffany’s and they don’t provide certificates for the Victoria’s because they only do it for diamonds over 0.3ct. All the diamonds on the earring are 0.1 ct only. I plan to take them to Tiffany’s to compared against the ones in store but the store can’t provide authentication. For those of you that have bought preloved did you get an appraisal to be safe or was checking in store enough for you? An appraisal costs $100 here.

They look gorgeous on you
At that price point I would get an appraisal though, jmo

Took the earrings to Tiffany’s and they checked out! So happy I have a pair finally! What do you ladies pair with them? Do you wear with or without a necklace? I’m finding they don’t go really well with any of my pendants.

Hi! Congrats on your purchase: Happy 40th! I just went through a similar debate at 45 (gulp) and decided that the large would make me feel MUCH better about it. Something about jewelry shopping also really helps with pandemic anxiety! I wear them alone daily since I got them (not a pendant person), with my ering and eternity band, both oval, which pair nicely with the Victoria earrings I found vintage (the ones I got are on the chubbier side and closer to 2 TCW per the original Tiffany paperwork). The color and other specs match my wedding jewelry perfectly. Ultimately I'd love 2.5+-3.5+ studs, but they are ridiculously expensive for the price/quality, and Tiffany really knows how to make earrings sparkle, which is the whole point. They came with jumbo/monster platinum backs, which is actually perfect for me because I dislike pousette backs and the smaller original ones would have likely drooped (they're like these, but look smaller on my huge, thin and rapidly aging earlobes: https://www.1stdibs.com/jewelry/ear...diamond-platinum-large-earrings/id-j_6060112/ ). The older large models closer to 2 TCW appear to have come with pushbacks vs. poussets...I just have to avoid running a marathon with them on! They feel very comfortable and secure with the jumbo backs, though. Cheers and enjoy!

Of course, no sooner do I buy them then I start obsessing about the large 5-stone Victoria earrings...aaaahhhhh :D tell me I made the right call. I was initially attracted to the cluster style, but then the classic won me over...

Wow...very glad I found thus vintage pair...so these are from 2006, about 2 TCW per the Tiffany valuation, F-G and VS1. I just saw a pair from 2016: 1.62TCW, as low as J per that Tiffany insurance letter! So...fewer carats and poorer quality now...for more money. Newer collections, while beautiful (like Paper Flowers) are also more about the brand name than the carats...1598207020585.png
