Diamond studs or Tiffany Victoria Earrings

Oh my I am facing the exact same decision and so glad you started this thread! In a previous thread I'd voted for studs because they just seemed more classic and practical. But then I went in to try the Victoria and I think they are truly beautiful!

What size Victoria or studs would you be contemplating? Would you get other Victoria items to match? I have the Victoria bracelet and like to have things in sets, so the heart part of me says the Victoria earrings. But the brain part says diamond studs. What are your thoughts?

Hi Elizabeth:

Have you decided yet? I'm still internally debating . Studs make sense but the Victoria keep calling me as they are so girly . Just worry they may not match all my pendants which was a good point made....

I'm having the exact same dilemma. First world problems [emoji4] Have you decided? Part of me wants the Tiffany Victoria studs in small size but brain tells me to go for practicality which are the diamond studs at about 1.5 carat total weight in a platinum martini setting

Hi Audrey:
I faced the same dilemma last year! In the end I chose the Victoria earrings in size medium and I've worn them every single day since. I think they're an appropriate size for almost all occasions.

Some of the reasons I had in favour of the Victoria earrings included its wonderfully feminine shape and the design being uniquely Tiffany. The setting is also slightly slanted which really accentuates the marquise diamonds.
While I did think round studs are classic, I felt 'classic' also implied many people would own/wear a pair, but I wanted something that would be different from what I saw on colleagues and friends.

However, if you tend to wear larger statement style pendants and necklaces, I would say go for some smaller studs.

Thank you Socrates!! Always great to hear from those who had same dilemma !!

I went in to try the Victoria earrings again today. I think that the small size would be the perfect substitute for solitaire studs. They are very pretty and feminine and i think more unique than studs. For me however I've been presented with the opportunity to buy the medium size at a good price, but still debating if the medium size would be too much for everyday as my ear lobes are quite small. The tiffany SA did think that the small suited me better.

So for you, I would vote the small Victoria's! :)

I agree with the poster who said you don't have to worry about symmetry with the studs - I almost never wear earrings that aren't round b/c I hate having to pay attention to whether one of them has turned and doesn't match the other.

Another key thing for me is that you can sleep in diamond studs, even big ones. Mine are .77 each (1.54 tcw) and I wear them 24X7 for probably 350 days of the year. The Victorias are very beautiful but probably too pokey to sleep in. I suppose my priorities are odd!
