Diamond Etenity Band - what's a fair price, PLEASE HELP

Susieserb, I noticed the seller's sample certificate on EBay is also numbered 582, same as yours. Did your jeweler friend confirm the diamond specs as well?

TIA as I'd consider purchasing from this seller if everything checks out!

A jeweler I know gave me the thumbs up. I approached this particular jeweler for an eternity ring and he said that he hated selling them, basically they can chip and get banged up. He too warned me about stacking this setting (like a pp warned about her ring). So now I'm being very careful.

Yes I see that the cert. number is the same? I don't know what that means but all the other information is different IOW my name and addy is on the cert.; the ring's specs; last, the jeweler's signature and current date in pen.

I did ask the seller to qualify your question however?

Absolutely beautiful. I have the exact setting on my eternity band. If I may, I will advise you not to stack this eternity next to another diamond band. Because the diamonds are exposed, the friction will slowly damage your stones along the edges. Unfortunately, I've had to re-polish 5 stones.

TY for your warning and you are right. As I stated above a personal jeweler told me the same thing. But man this setting is really something, the diamonds totally sing in the light. The only ring I'm gonna wear with this band is my single diamond in the tall setting.

I emailed them a poorly written question since they seemed confused about my question. Then I never reworded my letter to get a proper response. Let me go back and address it one more time okay! However you should call the dealer and talk to them; ask all the questions you can think of. With a purchase of this magnitude a one on one is highly advised.

I have purchased 4 diamond rings from this seller and the quality is superb! When I am ready to purchase another piece of diamond jewelry, I always go this seller first. Isaac is very easy to work with, he accepts offers, the quality of the diamonds and workmanship is excellent, and you can even trade up purchases from him. I bought a emerald cut diamond bad from him a couple of years ago and wanted a ring with higher carat weight. I picked out the ring I wanted, mailed back the old ring, paid the difference and the new ring was here in 3days already sized. I couldn't be happier with my purchases and would highly recommend this seller.

Thank you Lenie and AMEN. Here is Isaac's response. My ring is stunning.

We asked the question from the appraiser, he answered us that while their system is as the standard to issue a new # for each appraisal but the last time the printing company put the #582 on all printed blank appraisals they just didn`t want to trow all printed in garbage, they are getting new blank ones where they will put the #.
After all you see that your certificate has your name and address with all the information.

We apologize for not getting back before,

Have a great weekend,
Isaac

Gorgeous! If I hadn't just got a diamond ring, susie, I'd be soooo tempted. Just lovely.

As for the NYC diamond thing, my husband knows a guy who knows a guy (you know how that goes) down on 47th St. He had my first wedding band custom designed there and got "such a deal"! Although I don't know what he spent, whenever we've gone into a jewellery store he plays the old "how much do you think I paid for this?" game and then always looks very smug when he hears the answer. Clearly, there are deals to be had.

I wish I was in New York right now. *sigh*

LOL I adore a great "deal" (team hubby)...Diamonds are so faboosh and lets face it, we are all "aware" that Debeer's is controlling the industry and the price point..:nono:

Hey Susie, would you mind posting a pic of your ring by itself. I am really thinking to get one. Would you say this shop was open to negotiating some on price? Thanks so much in advance.
