THE Yankee: Derek Jeter -- "Captain America", and my HERO for so very many reasons -- (and I'm not the only one with that sentiment...).

I am not one to cry, but when this happens...(very sadly...)

"The Day Derek Jeter retires from The Game"

-- I WILL Cry...(so very many others will cry along with me too...) and Baseball will NEVER, [ever] be quite the same -- (that goes without saying for The Yankees themselves--GOD help us...). ~sigh~

Derek Jeter played "Baseball in the Majors" as it SHOULD be played -- from start to finish -- 100% Quality (which is no easy task) -- whilst being a Class Act "Off-The-Field" (gave that 100% every chance he got as well).

So for all that (and more), I say: Well Done Sir -- You are an Inspiration to us all...and oh yes, I Thank THE GOOD LORD for making Derek Jeter a Yankee :

Hannah Jeter debuted her baby bump in New York City on Tuesday, one day after announcing that she and husband, New York Yankee Derek Jeter, were expecting their first child.

Hannah talked with Extra's AJ Calloway about the baby's gender, bizarre cravings, coming up with names and how many more children to expect from the couple while she was on set in Times Square.

The 26-year-old model remarked that she and her shortstop are expecting a daughter, but that Derek, who will become a first-time father at the age of 42, wasn't there when she found out the baby's gender.

Hannah Jeter announced on Monday she was expecting her first child with husband Derek.

That same day it was also revealed the 26-year-old beauty would appear in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. It is her fifth time in the magazine.

The stunner posed for the publication in tiny bikinis just weeks after learning she was with child.

In another image Hannah is sitting on a purple painted wooden bench that features a skull and Frida Kahlo with parrots on her shoulders.

Hannah, whose maiden name is Davis, is modeling a beige, blue and purple bikini.

She also has on a long chain necklace. One leg is up and she has a hand on her hair.

The ex-Yankees captain and the model made public their baby news on their website,The Players' Tribune.

In a blog post titled The Derek I Know, Hannah gushed about her husband and the future she sees for their children.

She said the former shortstop already has a name picked out for his daughter.

'He already has a name in mind — he’s set on it. (We’ll see.) He’ll say when he calls me during the day:“So, how are you and so-and-so doing?”

'“That’s not the name yet, sweetie,”' she said.

The five-time World Series champ has been known for his high-profile relationships outside of the baseball field.

He married model Hannah Davis in July last year.

The couple announced their engagement on their website in November 2015.

The Yankees player retired from the field after the 2014 season, having played for 20 years. He made the announcement in a Facebook post saying he wanted to do more 'business and philanthropic work' and expressed his desire to start a family.
