I'm now in love with Venice too but like someone before me here, cannot decide whether to choose the Mini or the Midi... I'm also a bit iffy about the quality without seeing the back live.

There's only one video of the bag on YouTube (or anywhere) and it's the mini:
Demellier Venice Mini Bag Review

The bag in the video is preloved so you can see how it's worn a little. I'm not sure if I like the turned out seams look or not. It would look better if the seams were turned in. I know there are bound to be a few creases and such eventually and the metal parts do scratch (someone mentioned there's a way to prevent it?) but I wouldn't want to buy a bag at this price if it has similar tiny faults in it as cheaper bags.

Does anyone still carry their Venice? How is it holding up in every day use? Any things that might have started to bother you in the long run or is it still lovely?

I wound up buying the Midi version and it's a great size for me. The only thing that bothers me is the clasp hidden under the flap. It takes concentration to snap it together so I leave the flap hang loose most of the time. I bought it pre-loved and the stitching at the top of the bag had come loose but I like it that way because it makes it easier to get things in and out of the narrow top. I like the Venice because it has the Chloe Marcie crossbody vibe but with more formality.

[I had posted this yesterday, but I've updated the YouTube link since then.]

Hi! I've had my Vancouver for about a week. I just uploaded a YouTube video of me unboxing it and going into some of its details, today. This forum does not allow links directing traffic from the forum to YouTube. If you are interested in watching, feel free to search: "DEMELLIER LONDON | VANCOUVER HANDBAG UNBOXING | Dior 30 Montaigne & Celine Classic Dupe | Hanalei."

Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. It has the look of Dior 30 Montaigne and Celine Classic without the Dior/Celine price tag. Unfortunately, I turned my head for 5 seconds and some rowdy nephews somehow managed to scratch the two parallel gold hardware pieces. The scratch is BARELY there, and I'm the probably the only one who sees it. I will probably be ordering another sometime. I really love everything about it and have already received more compliments on it than my YSL Small Uptown Tote. The Vancouver does stand up on its own really without any issue. Mine is able to stand up with or without weight (eg., phone, wallet, keys, etc.).

Is the bag heavy since you got the grain leather? I am deciding between smooth in toffee or grain taupe. Does this taupe look pale or greyish?

I've seen a few reviews where people complain about the quality of DeMellier bags. Anyone have good experiences to share?
[/, I just bought Vancouver in deep toffee from Saks. The quality doesn’t meet my expectations. The edge is rough and isn’t glued neatly. I expected to smell leather since I have Celine and YSl Lou camera and when I firstly opened the box, I smelled the lid leather. Instead, I smell something chemical. I don’t know if it was because Saks wrapped the bag with plastic bag or not. The edge inside of the bag is not neat at all. It felt dry and I saw crack at the edge. However, the color is rich and leather isn’t that prone to scratch as I was scared. I am very picky so I returned.

has anyone seen/owned the demellier Marrakesh? it looks like a logo-less Soho Disco to me, wondering about what color red the red actually is...I would prefer the lack of logo to the Soho Disco tbh.

Just unboxed my Nano Montreal. Overall a really, really pretty bag, but construction and stitching is underwhelming. There are some dents too but it's to be expected from a smooth leather, nothing too visible unless I put it under the light and look at it really closely.

I do feel they are a little careless on small details now though, especially on stuff that aren't usually visible. For example the hot stamping on the inside is a little slanted, and the stitching are diagonal on some and straight on others. Again, these are at the inside of the bag that no one else can see. The Nano Montreal also cannot stand on its own unless I fill it up or put the long strap on.

Overall I think it's a very very pretty, not over-the-top bling date night/wedding/evening party bag, but I wish it's either slightly cheaper or has a better attention to details. Polene is still the best in this IMO, but I have to give it to Demellier for their leather quality.

I just bought my montreal nano. The design is great, but the leather and construction are average. I got this for only 318 euros from matchesfashion, 150 less from retail. I noticed the hardware is orangey yellow on the bag whereas on the straps are paler yellow. The bag was also not cut well as the pattern on the croc embossed leather is slanting upwards. The brandname stamp is also almost fading. Is the font and the spacing between the letters off or is it just me? The bag feels plasticky.
