YES TGIF!!!! My daughter boards a plan in Cape Town in two hours to begin her very very long journey home!! I can't wait to see her tomorrow afternoon

I'm waiting on those big silk shawls, too, especially the Les Cles. I've been told by a very good authority that every serious H collector needs a Les Cles, right?
They've been on the European websites but not in the store yet. Note to self: call SA and remind her how anxious I am to have large scarf I can't pay for and can't wear for at least 2 months!

You crack me up Shelby! Yes, Les Cles is one of my top three all-time favorite scarves. The other top ranking winners are Etriers and Brides Rebelles and, oh heck, let's toss in Cliquetis while I'm at it! But brace yourself, as I have seen pictures of GM dip dye Les Cles shawls, and they look out-of-this-world stunning!!!! Once I see one in the blue cw, I'll be lunging for it!!
And yes, I will hug and kiss and smother my stinky daughter before I toss her into the shower!

I read your posts about Kurt Browning's housefire but didn't have a chance to comment yesterday. It's such a sad thing to have happen and he must feel so terrible. I do wonder if his ins co will try to weasel out of covering the damage.

I saw this 140 cm silk shawl on ebay. I love this in grey and white! I haven't seen it in the US, yet.
I spotted that one too, Pauillac, and was briefly tempted, but then - thinking rationally for a change - decided 1) it really wouldn't go with my wardrobe very well, 2) I have enough shawls, and 3) I'm going for the Jungle Love anyway!

And did you see the price of our LV pumps with the flat bow? The leather ones are about 800 dollars, the velvet are about 1300, and the velvet with the sparkle heels are 1700. ARGHHH!

HA! Your SA must be on vacation with mine, Shelby!! I called to ask if they had come in too! I really really want either the blue or the purple.
I didn't know what price-point was placed on the LV pumps, but shucks...not sure about that now. But I just think they are so retro/classic that it's going to be hard to pass them by. I can soooooooo see myself wearing them for years to come. Which ones do you have your eye on?!

Were you up late studying your scarf?
My feeling about Kermit Olivier, is that even if you are not wild about one of his designs (I am not a huge fan of one in particular) you have to admire the intricacy of the design. He doesn't slap together a bunch of images. Everything is very well thought out and detailed. I think that is why they can make a wonderful framed piece. Your scarf is the kind of find that can keep me smiling for days!
