Yikes. I can't imagine going through something like this publicly.
I don't know. I believe there are sexual addictions but how do you draw the line between sexual addiction and "I like to cheat on you?" I would hate to be his wife.
Rumor has it that the Enguirer (are they hitting the ball out of the park this Summer or what?) will release the dirty details this week.

I read somewhere he has to pay her something like $3million every time he cheats. If that won't cure you, then you really do have an addiction!

His Mulder character was obsessed with porn and watched it on TV a lot...it was referred to quite a bit in the show.

I was just reading the info on a indie movie from a couple of years ago where he plays a sex addict. Wow - freaky. (the movie is on netflix)
David Duchovny has been released from rehab, which he entered voluntarily two months ago to treat sex addiction.
"David has successfully completed his rehabilitation," Duchovny's lawyer told Usmagazine.com on Monday. "He is out of rehab and will be starting a movie soon.
The X-Files star, 48, and his wife, Tea Leoni, were spotted arm-in-arm at the Czech Festival in New York City Sunday.
Leoni, 42, had been lying low since her husband's admission. She cancelled several promotional appearances of her new flick, Ghost Town (out Sept. 19) at the Toronto Film Festival.
In an August statement, Duchovny asked for "respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

Sources told Usmagazine.com that they weren't shocked about the revelation.
"He's a guy who loves women," a Californication insider told Us. "He's always noticed an attractive lady."
In 1997, the actor denied rumors about his sexual appetite.
"I'm not a sex addict," Duchovny told Playgirl magazine</B> then. "I have never been to those meetings. It's hurtful to my family and if I was involved with a woman in a monogamous relationship, it would be hurtful to her. There was another story claiming I was a neat freak. If I had to choose one of the two, I think I'd rather be a sex addict. It's not funny and I'll be glad when it goes away."
In September, Evan Handler shared well wishes for his Californication co-star. (Ironically, Duchovny plays a sex-obsessed character on TV.)
"The most I can say is that I hope hes doing really well -- and I heard he is doing really well," Handler told Usmagazine.com at a DVD launch party for the Sex and the City movie in NYC Sept. 18.
