  1. Dear friends,

I just recently given a bag as a gift, the sender told me he purchased it from LV Boutique in Venice. My question is... why this piece's datecode (LV Geant Couguar in Black) is engraved on the material (pocket) instead of a little leather piece? I have no doubt in my mind that this piece is authentic. However, I am very curious to learn that the date code is engrave on material instead.

Could someone who owns this piece verify this for me please? The date code stated VI 1016.

    Thanks in advance.

Depends on the bag. Some are on a small piece of leather, others are directly on the lining.

FYI, there is a whole section on date codes here: http://forum.purseblog.com/date-codes
