Date Code & "Made In" Questions

So I recently purchased a neverfull MM Monogram in Empreinte leather. I found the microchip using NFC tools in the bag. But can not locate one in the pouch or a date code. Anyone else have this issue?

It’s in the main item only. Like the Felicie, the inserts are not tagged only the main wallet.

Newer items have a microchip instead of a datecode, esp those made after Feb-Mar 2021

This is my second attempt to get this piece as my first had markings. But this one doesn’t have a date code. Anyone else have similar problem? I checked the back zipper already for it

I called with this same concern of no date code inside my new Fornasetti Speedy 25. The LV online rep told me that after March 2021 LV is only using computer chips placed inside the lining of the bag. No more date codes.

Yes, that's right, any pieces manufactured now won't have date codes, only product information chips that can be read by LV.

Bags are chipped now. The associates in the boutique can scan it an give you the deets on the bags date code etc.. You can also use a app with your phone to scan the bag but it will only tell that a chip is detected in the bag.

I just searched for a Soufflot and looked at the first result and it should be under a leather tab inside the bag? Hope that helps

I purchased a mini pochette and the date code is CF0251 made in France, I am wondering the same thing. Maybe they newly opened some factories?
