I’d like to know where is the chip located in my Mahina keypouch…cause I don’t feel any hard indentation anywhere. lol

From what I understand we can’t feel it. The only people who can verify the chip would be SAs at an LV boutique.

Hello. I inherited quite a few bags from my sister and I am having trouble authenticating one of them. I know she had a mix of authentic and replicas as she would decide whether she wanted the real deal based off of the replica. This particular one is the neonoe and she used it all the time, I assumed she purchased it directly from LV and never asked. I work at a resale store and I am used to looking at these purses alll the time, all of the other ones I could figure out no problem. I can add pictures but every single thing lines up to looking like the real deal rather than the replica except for the date code. The date code is SP4170 and I thought she purchased it in 2020 if that helps. I have heard on a very rare occasion that the date code gets misprinted, is this possible? There was also a care booklet inside dated 2020. Any help or guidance would be so helpful.

I’ve also contacted LV to get a list of her purchases so we know what she had but that won’t be for quite a while because of probate etc. My sister loved this bag so much and I am going to keep it either way but I want to take very good care of it and knowing it’s authenticity would help. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!!

Hi there, I'm not sure if there is a post for this, but I am hoping someone can help. I received my purchase from Lv with a date code that is beginning with JG. Has anyone experienced this? I thought there would be no date codes as of March...and in the interior it says made in Spain. However, this lettering code is unfamiliar to me. Thanks.

Hi there! I just got a preloved alma bb that was authenticated by Entrupy to be 100% genuine, but looking at the date code I'm not sure. The lettering looks red than gold/brown like the tag itself. I'm pretty sure its red, but it *could* possibly be the red canvas colour reflected onto the letters. I've inspected the rest of the bag and the stitches/material seems to be authentic, but then again those superfakes are getting even better...can anyone advise if this date code colour does exist please? Thank you so much...!

Generally, the red date code may be fine. It was done.

Just wondering why it still has date code even if they say they won't be issuing one after March this year. I wonder if you can help me with my Neverfull MM Damier Ebene.
I bought the bag a week ago from a LV store. The bag has a micro chip and the pouch has a datecode VT1201 which does not make sense, the pouch has the tag Louis Vuitton Paris made in France. Unfortunately I didn't check the date code in the store as I was so focussed on the micro chip and the bag. So could VT be a new factory code or did LV change the date codes before getting rid of them altogether or was T meant to be I??? I live 4 hours from the LV store, I have called the store and the LV customer service without any luck. So if anyone here can help me your help would be much appreciated, thanks

Hi I have a different experience-where I still have a datecode but after March 2021 purchase with SF2201 code. So I am thinking why this one does not have a microchip.

Can you post a photo of this date code ? "SF001" seems incomplete and short.

My husband just bought me a Siena PM from LV Rodeo Drive. When he got home, I inspected the bag and couldn’t find a “Made in” label and a date code. From videos that I’ve seen in YouTube, there’s supposed to be a “Made in” label and a date code embossed in leather inside the bag. Did they change this recently? Thanks in advance

Yes LV recently stopped using Date Codes. If you search there are threads about it.
