Hello everyone :)
This is my first poste here, I've been reading and enjoying the Purseforum for quite some time and thought it's time to join also the conversations :D
And I'm starting of with a question ;-)
I want to buy a nice vintage Noe from ebay and I found a really pretty one :loveeyes:
But I'm a bit confused by it's data code...
The code is: AR8906
But I thought data codes from this time are: 1. + 3. number is the month, but 80 doesn't make to much sense for a month...
Can anyone please tell me if that's possible?

Can you please post a picture of the datecode - they're quite easy to misread on Noes as they do get a bit dusty?

It could be that it's in YYMM format. I've turned the picture around and blown it up but still can't see if that first digit is definitely an 8.

If you have concerns about it then post a request in the AUTHENTICATE THIS LV thread in LV SHOPPING.

Just a quick update. I finally found the date code on my bag, thanks to a lovely members help who had the same bag except in the GM size! For anyone that has the same bag and needs to know, it is under the large zippered pocket, at the top right corner. It is hidden so, well that I didn't even pull the pocket up enough to see the whole date code, for fear of stretching it out too much, but is is there. I had looked under there several times and would have never found it without her telling me where it was. Thankful to be a part of this great group!

I just received my shoulder strap J00109, for my Speedy Multicolore. Do u know if there is any 'Made in' heat stamp on it? cuz i know there's heat stamps on my bags but there's none on the strap i got today :sad: is that normal?

I purchased a vintage petit noe from hautelook, and unfortunately the ladies here don't authenticate that site. :( So sad.

I think I'm going to get it authenticated by caroldiva when I get it, but I was wondering if anyone has any 1995 petit noe datecode pics they could share. I'm most concerned about the shape of the 9, but from all the datecodes I've looked at they are all over the place for the shape of the 9. Some have a rounded tail, some are straight, etc.

so if anyone has any 1995 bags I'd love to hear what you think of the datecode font. Thanks!

Hi. I am confused by a Louis Vuitton bag I was given. It has the date code BR0065 and it's made in France. I read somewhere that they used "BR" for France but cannot find this code in the lists. This bag was a gift from my Ex Husbands mother who had tons of LV bags... Spent a small fortune on them but I am confused by this. I want to sell this bag now but if I can't verify it's real I won't. Please help. Also I'm new to this forum! I've read posts for ages but just signed up so please excuse if I posted incorrectly. Thank you! MP
