To be honest, the SHW probably would suit it better if I'm right about the purplish undertones. I think Blush is a colour that might disappear, the SAs I've spoken to keep calling it a 'spring colour', hence my panic! DD and PG have been around for a while so they might not be going anywhere… Just a theory!

Lol the price of public transport makes me want to weep. INSANE!

I'm thinking about getting something in Dark Dune next... What styles do you girls love in this colour? I'm torn between small zip top tote, studded messenger bag, jet set cross body or medium Selma. I have large dark khaki and medium blush selma so wondering if medium dark dune Selma is too repetitive? However its a classic bag, nice neutral for summer and wonder if I'll regret not buying it as its available at the mo. Thoughts please?

Ha brought some new nail polish yesterday and just reliased its DD in colour!

Dark dune looks great with gold hardware because it's an understated neutral color. I think it looks really nice on the Hamilton with its chunky hardware (lock and chain on shoulder strap).

I agree. Inspite of really wanting more bags with SHW, I do like the GHW on Dark Dune. I've never had the chance to look at a Hamilton in real life. Do they have a zip top? Open top bags aren't for me, I like the security of a zip top.

Already having large Dark Khaki selma is making me question if I need the medium dark dune Selma too. Would great to find something like DD Tristan, love that design.

Unfortunately, the Hamilton does not have a zip top. I prefer zip top bags, as well. However, I own two n/s Hamilton totes because they are much deeper than a normal handbag, so my valuables still feel very secure at the bottom of the bag.

Personally, I wouldn't invest in both dark khaki and dark dune. They are in the same color family only one shade different from each other. When I picked dark dune for one of my n/s Hamilton totes, I also looked at dark khaki and felt it was just a shade too light for me. But they are very close in color.

I think I'll probably end up owning something in every shade in that colour family... Khaki, blush, PP, DD, PG... Love them all...lost cause. Would be great to find DD in another zip top style that's not a Selma.

The Black Tristan with SHW is sounding more and more like my kind of buy so maybe money more well spent IDK.

Have you looked at the jet set zip top tote? It looks really nice in dark dune. A black Tristan w/shw also sounds nice.

I just got a Tristan and I LOVE it! One thing that is better than the Jet Set, beside everything! lol! Is that it has much more detail and features on it, such as the buckles and the outer back pocket, plus the long detachable chain strap. I don't think they have them in dune or blush, however. lol!

I don't 'get' comparing these two colors? Isn't one a pink and the other a tan base?? They are so different. You can only wear pinkish bags with so many outfits, where the dune, you can wear with anything. Correct?

Are you talking about blush and dark dune OR dark khaki and dark dune? Blush definitely has a pink tone to it. Dark Dune is a brownish-grey taupe. Dark khaki is a dark cream 'café-au-lait' color.

The name of this thread is "Dark Dune vs Blush" I am confused at comparing the two colors?? It is like asking about green or red?? lol! How do they compare or verse each other?? Just wondering. Doesn't take much to confuse me! lol!

Because blush can look like either a champagne color or a dusty, light, pinky rose, it falls in the same category as the other lighter beiges and browns. I think that is why it is being compared to dark dune, which is at the other end of that spectrum as a dark sand color mixed with grey. There are a lot of MK colors on that beige/brown spectrum...blush, tan, dark khaki, suntan, peanut, luggage, dark dune. Because blush also has some pink in it, it also falls on the pink spectrum...blush, pale pink, blossom, rose water, fuschia, deep pink. I hope this helps.

It does help some, although pink is pink, whether it light pink or dark pink. I suppose it could be considered a nuetral color like the others. But I would a dune with a green outfit, but not a blush pink.KWIM???

IKWYM Cinthia, loving the Tristan pictures! Particularly because you have the option of wearing it on the shoulder or on the super long chain strap. Been trying to get through to one of the UK outlets today to locate a black one with SHW. Think it would negate any need for a black Selma with SHW at half the cost! (Which I'll never find and is not suitable for me to wear crossbody being so tall)

Re. Dark dune v blush, they are totally different colours! I figured this thread was a good place to discuss my need for bags in that colour family.... :D I'm not buying anything else in Blush! my MK collection needs some different colours now I think.
