shopbop is terrible!

i once bought a marc by marc jacobs bag that had a free shipping deal during christmas. from the US to brazil. the bag arrived a month and a half later COMPLETELY damaged. they literally put it inside a plastic bag in the parcel, knowing it was going to be shipped to brazil and get thrown around a lot on the way.

the bag has black studs all over it and when it arrived they were completely chipped. my mum had to pay double the price of the bag to get it out of the post office in brazil for some reason. i looked on the website again just to make sure the studs were meant to be completely black and they were! it was such a horrible, horrible experience.
 
^That's completely unacceptable! Did they offer you a return and pay your return shipping? I have been a ShopBop customer for years, but have noticed a definite decline in their packaging and overall service. They don't answer email anymore...

Oh well, I can take my business to Revolve and Tobi!
 
I used to order from them but they sent me an obviously used MbMJ purse, so i returned it. apparently, they have gone downhill since they have been sold. there's a thread of this somewhere. lots of complaints.
 
Grrr, i e-mailed TWICE now about a damaged bag that i recieved yesterday but no response yet! And yes, i realise 24 hours is not too long a time to wait but when i am thoroughly frustrated and wanted this bag for a particular event then it is annoying when it is a fault of THEIRS that i am not happy... Shopbop SUCKS!
 
^I have placed numerous orders(OK,HUNDREDS..LOL) from SHOPBOP...actually i even ordered TWICE there this week alone.They have the BEST CS ever.I have never had an issue there and whenever i returned something,it was credited within 3 days!
 
^ Yep, I have to agree with BB. They have amazing CS - so quick to respond. I bought a shirt on final sale, went to wear it almost 2 months after I got it and a button broke right off as I was putting it on. I e-mailed them asking if they could do anything about it (really wasn't expecting them to do anything) and they were willing to give me an extra 10% discount to keep it or ship it back to them for a store credit. Love Shopbop!
 
I've ordered from them several times and have not been happy. I think it's great that others have had no problems, but I would say the CS I've dealt with has been atrocious. My last return took them literally 3 months to credit me back. I followed their online return shipping and they recieved my items on time but didn't refund me accordingly. I had to call, fax, write, call again, live chat, email, it was a nightmare. There was no reason for it, because I had everything sent back as it was sent to me. I won't go into detail, but I wanted those to know that not every transaction is going to be a good one. To say their CS is the best is what you experienced, and that is far from what I got with them.
 
I just don't get WHY these things seem to happen with them over and over again, this is just why i have been so scared of the idea of returning the faulty bag to them, because i MAY get into the same unfortunate nightmare that PinkSuadeSoho did and i really don't think i could handle that after all me and my family have been through already this year, but i will place faith in them and send back recorded delivery so there will be proof of them recieving and WHEN they recieved in the hopes that they will refund in full in due course, i really hope my faith in them is restored somewhat, i would then MAYBE consider giving them a second chance for another cheaper bag that i have my eye on...
 
You will get the refund and don't let my bad experience scare you. I no longer shop with them. I use *Revolve* and love them. I stick with who has provided ME with happy CS. I won't ever shop at SB due to my experience. & it wasn't just once, it was previous issues with other orders I placed. I do know that once they were bought out, things changed. There is proof of that. Anyhow, please keep everyone posted and I promise you'll be fine! Have a super fab weekend and take care of yourself!

Revolve is great for shipping to the US but for International Customers, Shopbop is the better option because of the quick shipping. I have used Revolve in the past but they use USPS which takes forever to get here..
I do have to add that although I did have bad experiences in the past with Shopbop, I purchased something two days ago and forgot to put the discount code. I e-mailed them about it and they immediately added the discount..
