Yeah, the diamond necklace looks hip, but not $10,000 worth. A lot of times modern jewelers will use uncut diamonds to create the crystal effect. It's cool, I've seen a few, but I'm still old schooled.

Many years ago when I was a college student and during Miami Vice‘s heyday, I saw her father at a personal appearance he made for a police foundation. As good looking as he was on TV, Don Johnson was far more handsome and almost stunning in person. And I don’t typically find blond men attractive. Add that to her mother’s beauty and it would be shocking if Dakota wasn’t gorgeous. Genetically, she got the best of both parents.
It took me a while to get used to it, but I think that i find her personality to be her best asset, and she's a beautiful woman! She's one of the few celebs her age who to me comes across as totally authentic in talk show appearances. I kind of wonder if growing up with her parent's careers doesn't help her in that regard. She saw them have both ups and downs. I wonder if she learned from that fame will never define her, so she might as well just enjoy it.

I used to watch the Golden Globes and she was Miss Golden Globe way back.
Miss Golden Globe is pure nepotism and they make a point of it - you must be the child of a celebrity and it's their coming out (or intro'd into the celeb world) so it was the first time I saw Melanie Griffith and DJ's daughter. She was very shy up there stage and awkward as one might expect.
For some reason I remembered it - possibly because it seemed so odd to have some famous person's child up there to be a presenter in order to become famous on their own.
It's Hollywood - there have been changes. But she's remarkably natural looking now, even if she isn't completely natural. And gorgeous, of course.

I know everyone here likes her but I've never seen her in a movie, so I'm not as excited about her
Oh yeah - she's not a great actress and her movies are largely panned... but she's so pretty and seems really sweet.
This. She ain't gonna be winning no Oscars anytime soon but that is not the real endgame for most of these actors. They get the deals and get their brands out there and get $$$
I don’t find her as good looking as her parents, but she looks very well put together and has a cute talk, but I heard she was a snob of sorts to the costars in the Madame Webb movie… so that kinda of sucked and made her look very ugly overall and now every time I see her she is less and less pretty, kinda like Blake Lively who I used to think was pretty in GG, and now train wreck kinda of ugly inside out girl
