Is it just me, or does it seem like this collection is way more limited than others? I was able to get several items from the escale collection online. But for game on, I haven’t seen anything ATB since the initial release on nov. 6th. Will some items be restocked? Just curious if this collection is more limited.
I cannot agree more with what you have said....the same issue happening to customers down under...it's getting so frustrating and as if we as customers need to beg for stuff...It seems like it was ridiculously limited and the whole pre-order waitlist system for this collection seems totally random as well. I’ve heard you needed to be a super important customer to pre-order, but then I’ve heard people say they didn’t have a crazy purchase history and been able to pre-order.
I’m not an insta influencer or famous, just a normal person and I doubt my spending clocks as “VIC” to LV. But, in the past few years, I’ve really been a fan of several LV collections buying pieces on an almost monthly basis (my CA usually finds me something unique as my store carries exotics and I have a soft spot for them).
This collection, however, has left kind of a sour taste. I get how scarcity or even false scarcity can pump up a brand. I just don’t want to have to play games to give a company my money. I guess the collection title for this one was apt, because it felt like a game and one with no rules at that to try and get any of these pieces.
Agree. The distribution seems totally arbitrary. While it doesn’t benefit me, I think it’s totally fine if a brand is saving certain items for best customers, but the lack of transparency in this instance has been exasperating. I actually feel this has done their brand more harm than good. Weirdly, resellers seem to be winning at this game, versus people who genuinely love and want to invest in their brand. Marked up versions of the collection. seem readily available through personal shoppers and third party sites. It seems like it was ridiculously limited and the whole pre-order waitlist system for this collection seems totally random as well. Probably because they want to raise the standard of their brand? There is no arguing that their brand has been diluted by a flurry of fakes in recent years, so I can understand why they may feel the need to go this route - it does suck though.Yes!! I'm especially upset about the Coeur bag--I feel like it was the most hyped item in the whole collection, and literally no one can get it. I guess that's the idea to make it seem more exclusive, but I still think it's kind of dumb to really highlight an item that you're not going to produce enough of to actually sell. I hope it will end up being something like a Boite Chapeau Souple situation where demand is so high that they end up making more.
Apart from the Coeur bag, the Keepall was what I really wanted most, and I've got that plus a Neverfull on the way so I guess I should count myself lucky. But I so wanted the Coeur bag, and I kind of wonder if my disappointment at not being able to get it will sour me on the other items from the collection I was able to get.
It frustrates me too because I feel like "accessible" luxury is kind of LV's thing, although maybe they're looking to change that starting with this collection. IMO, the nice thing about LV is that you don't need to know an SA and you don't need to have a boutique near you--you can just order something and have it at your doorstep in a couple of days with no fuss. It might help to have a good SA if you want something that's really hard to get (which I guess the Coeur bag is), but even a lot of really sought-after items will appear on the website where anyone can get them if they're online at the right time. To me, it's so much less stressful than buying Chanel bags/SLGs, where it's a constant hunt for information on what's available or what's coming out soon, then trying to figure out who's ordering what and which SAs to contact, only to finally get the item you're dreaming of and discover it has 15 popped stitches and a busted turnlock so the hunt begins all over again. And Hermes is like a whole other level of game-playing. If people want to put in effort to give a brand their money, they have Chanel and H and maybe even Goyard for that. As far as I'm concerned, LV is where you go when you just want to hand over your money and get your item with minimal hassle. Why mess with that?
I found CS in the UK very helpful who asked me what I wanted to order. I was told that not every piece from the collection would be available on launch day but some are such as TP26, speedy, white and black NF, luggage tag etc. It seems looking at the website the most popular and sought after pieces are not showing as available. Is it just me, or does it seem like this collection is way more limited than others? Yes. Multiple times in the us.Has anyone seen the Elizabeth pouch pop up online?
I agree with you. This collection is limited edition for VIC and resellers. I saw lots of resellers start making money. Good job LV !This collection has been a nightmare! More than bags- slgs have been of high demand from this collection and looks impossible to get!
the frustrating part is “limited” collection items are available to VICs and resellers !!
highly impossible for others to get anything !
I really wanted something that looked like Takashi murukami collection but frustrated and put off by LV at the moment !!
Thank you for the great tips and congrats on scoring that adorable bag!I haven’t picked mine up yet but it will be in store this week (the heart bag). I’ve had multiple conversations with my SA about the exclusivity of this collection. Where my boutique is located it is quite large and very busy and still they only received 3 pieces total from the entire collection. Luckily the heart bag was one. I’ve spent a lot of time over the last year really cultivating a relationship with my SA professionally and personally... not to just receive exclusive items but because I really enjoy chatting with her. Anyways all that to be said just a few things for the future:
1) remember it’s a friendship as much as a business relationship and cultivate both
2) if you want to order something online have your SA send you their personal link so that whenever you buy something online it essentially comes directly from them and they receive the commission still. Again all about fostering the relationship!
3) even if it’s months away put the item that you want in their mental list over and over again. My SA wanted to kill me I think because I sent pictures of the heart bag so many times
And I’m not saying no one does this already just wanted to give some additional tips!
Good luck everyone ❤
In another thread people have been sharing their game purchases. I saw it here https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/noticeable-nice-november-2020-purchases.1036605/page-7Has anyone seen the speedy b 30 from this collection?
