Constance, please tell me the story

We all know the stories of how the Kelly was named; how the Birkin was designed and the necessity that predicated the Bolide. But, is there a history of the Constance? I have never noticed anything written about this little gem of a bag.
I know I will I hear from some great story-tellers!
