While I love Classic Speedy in 25 or 30, I'd definitely choose Alma. Alma is the epitome of classic LV. It's elegant, versatile and also very chic. The PM size is perfect for a daily bag. Epi is exquisite an DE is gorgeous for Alma PM and Alma BB too. Can't go wrong with Alma in any size or material. Good luck choosing!

From jeans , to yoga pants , to my kids school functions , grocery store , plays , nice dinners . You name it ! I also got my key bell hot stamped to add a personal touch . My Alma gets many compliments through out the years I had her . I also feel it is a very nice size . The Epi is nice to . As I have one in the bb size . But I do love my DE for everyday use . I feel the Epi Alma in the PM is more of a work bag . A little more formal looking . Where as DE is a little more care free and casual . I did considered the Epi in the PM size once . But went with the DE and never looked back . Good luck . Your first Louis Vuitton bag will be so exciting !

Thanks so much....I went back to store today to try speedy and Alma again. Definitely Alma. Unfortunately my store only had a Vernis and one Epi. The black Epi so pretty and so classy. I wish I could get my hands on the monogram and Damier ebene in person I think that would make it easier.

Question any issues with the gold hardware ? I had seem someone comment on speedy gold hardware - the gold wearing off.

Yes, after looking again, I am sure when I pull the trigger it will be Alma. Just not sure which yet!

None what so ever ! My HW on my Alma looks perfect ! I had my bag now for about 3 1/2 years . I also think the monogram Alma is stunning ! You can not go wrong with either . :)

The Noir looks good on you !! I would suggest calling ahead of time ,asking for them to place all the Alma bags on hold for you . Then this way you can go there and try on both , or all three . Then decide . Much easier than having to go back . Good luck :smile:

thanks! Problem is they only had two (from what they told me) in the store. Noir Epi and the Vernis.

I bought the Epi version in 2014 when in Paris. I wanted a classic LV that wouldn't go out if style since it was a souvenir of my trip. The silver hardware is so durable and still looks shiny and new. The Epi doesn't age. The monogram is beautiful with a clean patina but without a strap it would be hard to keep that vachetta base stain free. (consider how you will wash your hands in a ladies room without a strap and keeping the base dry). For that reason a monogram bag would need a strap I think. Not so important in Damier or Epi. My Alma is 3 yrs old...

Thanks so much for photo and your thoughts! I keep going back and forth! I was told today the store does have a monogram so hoping to visit Monday and look at Epi again and monogram.
