Confusion Over Etienne Aigner

I wish I could tell you more. In those days bags weren't copied, so there was no need for style numbers, etc. Aigner and John Romaine ruled the fine leather crowd and that was about it. Aigner tried a comeback in the US before covid. Tried competing with Coach I think. Nothing came of it. I still hav my bags from the 60's and they are in excellent condition. If you go back in the thread you can see pics I have taken of them. Beautiful bags, and believe me when I say they don't make them like that anymore.

There is really no way to know the name of the style unless you find another one on Etsy, eBay, or Poshmark, and the seller knows the name. The U.S. Etienne Aigner has now been absorbed by the parent company in Munich, Germany. You might try emailing them your question, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for them knowing the name. It’s a nice bag. Take it out and use it.

Thank You Very Much! I’ll try searching those other sites as well. You have been very informative. Thank You!

I do not know if it is real though. I started researching about it after i bought it, never heard of it before tbh. I got it in east germany just a few days ago from a shop that buys and resells stuff mostly from dead peoples´relatives. 5€! I hope to resell it, since I can not care for it accordingly..... help!
