I would be too, glad you put in a complaint; it sounds like the whole incident was horribly mismanaged. I'm also in the middle of hell-week- we're swamped in the office and I got rear ended yesterday on the freeway going into the city by, a maniac who jumped out of his car and started screaming at me. I had to call the cops and everything- this all happened in the POURING rain too. Bad days all-around, but today's been better, thank god. Hope yours is too and please enjoy this virtual cocktail ; it's on me:p.

Also, on a happier (but far more wallet draining) note, I find myself in the waiting lounge with you all once again, awaiting a 2007 stunner:D.
Very glad you are ok. Sounds scary! Also excited to see your next find!

Thanks, it will be a few weeks on my new Bbag, as I'm paying in installments, but it will be worth it! :graucho:

It was scary, but the coolest thing happened: this amazing woman who was driving by at the time (slowly, because we were in traffic) saw him yelling and going berserk at me, pulled over and completely helped me with the situation, waited with me until the cops came and was complete my good samaritan hero. I sent her flowers today because she was so amazing and I think if she hadn't come over, he might have taken a swing at me. He must have been on PCP or something crazy like that because he was incredibly menacing and scary and he ended up getting arrested because he was threatening the cops too. Anyway, yes I'm okay:smile1: and thank you!!

On a bag related note: I seriously don't know how I'm going to wait for the new bag, I am SO excited!! :woot:

Wow, this crazy guy hit your car and was screaming at you??? Yikes!!! SO GLAD you are okay, sounds like he was out of his mind! And it's nice to hear that someone was so wonderfully helpful during your ordeal!

Wow! My heart goes out to all of you who had so much craziness happen to you this week... :hugs:

Och - you too?!?! .. I can certainly relate to the "hell-week" (I think the latest count is "99"!). Then to get rear-ended and pouring rain?!?! .. hope you are okay! The only thing that made my week is the Goldman-Sachs debacle (where the contents of a resignation letter from a senior mgr was leaked to the press). While some in the industry have "circled the wagons", I applaud the guy for pointing out what is wrong with the industry. There was a reason why unions were created ...!!!

So .. got the bag today; I'm pretty sure that it's Poupre. I had a Poupre GGH ages ago, which I sold because I wasn't crazy about the color. I'll post pics tomorrow .. I'm kinda bummed. Oh well ...

Whoa. That is frightening. It's so awesome that she stopped and stayed with you. There are indeed some great folks in the world. :D

It will be a looong few weeks waiting for your bag!

CeeJay, I just read your post about Goldman-Sachs and 5 min later I hear Bill Maher talk about this on HBO, surreal...

Sorry to hear it's not your dream bag :shucks:

Totally agree on the GS brouhaha; better to be honest about a flawed system than to circle the wagons, I think. Hope you're looking forward to a well-deserved weekend!

BTW, thank you LuvAllBags, CeeJay, dragonette, cupcakegirl and all for the well-wishes about my horrible Weds.: I am totally fine and my car is too:smile1:. I was very rattled because that insane man scared me, but the woman who stopped to help and the cops were totally awesome- it weirdly restored my faith in public servants (everyone here has been wary of cops since they violently raided the Occupy Oakland camp and that guy almost got killed) and reminded me that there are real good samaritans out in the world! I'm totally fine and it's back to business as usual :smile1:

Well, I think it's Rubisse (the seller just said 'Red'). Almost positive that it's not Tomato because typically, Tomato had a very distinct distressing to it's leather which I must say I j'adore!!!

As far as my favorite Red, that's tough .. I do typically tend to favor a red with some blue undertones (Rubisse & Rouge Theatre), but I must say that I just LOVE Coquelicot which I consider to be a 'true' (clean) Red. Typically, I don't like Reds with orange undertones (Rouge Vermillon & Sang), but I do love Tomato .. but like I said, the leather was uniformly fantastic on the Tomato bags and that's a huge criteria for me.

All I can say that it more than made up for my truly HORRIFIC day yesterday! Whilst still at work (in the evening), there was a 3-alarm fire at one of the hotels across the street from our office (and the Copley Mall complex). It blew out a major generator, so here I am .. at my desk working on this massive Project Plan (which has taken a good month to organize all the tasks, resources & allocations, $$$, etc.) .. and then all of a sudden .. TOTAL BLACKNESS!!! Since my desk is towards the back of the building where there is no natural light, I couldn't see anything! Thankfully after a very long 15 minutes, the "emergency" lights came on .. and I could get to the other Tower (where I met up with some of my colleagues who were also stuck in the blackout). We had to be evacuated via the emergency stairwells, and then I had to use my iPhone Flashlight to find my car in the garage! The whole entire area of the City was pitch black; I felt so bad for all the tourists who were evacuated from their hotels and made to stand outside not even knowing where they were .. and then to be beeped & screamed at by the quintessential "Boston driver"!! Needless to say, we are all working in D/R mode .. still no access to the building and not sure when it will be available again. Sorry to ramble on, but after that episode, the bag kind of made my day!!!

Hope you have your power back and that you are not one of the ones that Nstar says is back, but really isn't. What a mess the Back Bay, etc has been the last few days. Glad you made it out and found your car and got home! Sorry that the bag isn't the color you wanted. I guess that is the risk we take buying with less than definitive descriptions. I've had that happen to me twice lately. It's not as exciting once the package is opened when you didn't get the bag you expected.
