Well, I think it's Rubisse (the seller just said 'Red'). Almost positive that it's not Tomato because typically, Tomato had a very distinct distressing to it's leather which I must say I j'adore!!!
As far as my favorite Red, that's tough .. I do typically tend to favor a red with some blue undertones (Rubisse & Rouge Theatre), but I must say that I just LOVE Coquelicot which I consider to be a 'true' (clean) Red. Typically, I don't like Reds with orange undertones (Rouge Vermillon & Sang), but I do love Tomato .. but like I said, the leather was uniformly fantastic on the Tomato bags and that's a huge criteria for me.
All I can say that it more than made up for my truly HORRIFIC day yesterday! Whilst still at work (in the evening), there was a 3-alarm fire at one of the hotels across the street from our office (and the Copley Mall complex). It blew out a major generator, so here I am .. at my desk working on this massive Project Plan (which has taken a good month to organize all the tasks, resources & allocations, $$$, etc.) .. and then all of a sudden .. TOTAL BLACKNESS!!! Since my desk is towards the back of the building where there is no natural light, I couldn't see anything! Thankfully after a very long 15 minutes, the "emergency" lights came on .. and I could get to the other Tower (where I met up with some of my colleagues who were also stuck in the blackout). We had to be evacuated via the emergency stairwells, and then I had to use my iPhone Flashlight to find my car in the garage! The whole entire area of the City was pitch black; I felt so bad for all the tourists who were evacuated from their hotels and made to stand outside not even knowing where they were .. and then to be beeped & screamed at by the quintessential "Boston driver"!! Needless to say, we are all working in D/R mode .. still no access to the building and not sure when it will be available again. Sorry to ramble on, but after that episode, the bag kind of made my day!!!
