Hello ladies and gents! I'm considering on purchasing my first Chanel bag. I really love the Coco bag, because I'm a top-handle gal. Is it possible to walk in a boutique and just purchase one without an extensive purchase history? I keep hearing stories that you have to spend quite a bit to get offered a bag. I didn't know if this was for a flap bag or other bags as well. Thanks in advance!
Yes, it is possible. But maybe it depends on your location? I am in the southeast US, and I never had to wait to be “offered” a bag, even when I had no spending history. I have always just walked into my boutique and purchased bags. Stock always varies. And they usually seem to have only have one (or maybe two) of a particular bag at a time.

That said, I do recommend going to the boutique and establishing a flow of communication with an SA. He/she can alert you when they have the bag you are seeking, or a similar one. Happy shopping!

Yes, it's def possible. Hermes is the brand that typically does the "offer" routine, but with Chanel you can walk into a store and purchase. The issue is inventory of that store. Not all stores get the same bags, so if there is one that you want specifically, then you may need to put in a bit of work to track it down. Good luck! I love my Coco Handles! :)

Hey everyone! For those who have the white coco handle. How is it holding up? I may be able to get it when the next season releases. I am excited but nervous to use. This will be my first white bag. TIA!
I am bumping my post for feedback. I returned the coco handle bag in white last year due to a tear on the back and told my SA, I am too scared to get another one. Now I hugely regret it especially with the price increase. How is white coco handle holding up for those who have it? I am thinking of just taking the plunge now. Plan to wear it with mostly spring/summer dresses, skirts. TIA!

Hi Ladies. I was so excited to join the coco handle club but unfortunately noticed something on my new bag. Is the coco handle prone to leather peeling like this? My SA is trying to secure another one, but I wanted to ask if this happens with use? At first I couldn't tell what the darker grains on the corner was but upon closer inspection of the handle it's definitely peeling. So sad, this is such a gorgeous handbag otherwise.

From my experience needing extensive purchase history is not true (I think that only rings true for Hermes and quota bags). What it really depends on is if they have the style in stock because it varies from location to location and some styles go quicker than others (for example mini square and rects are very hard to find). IMO if you walk into Chanel and see the coco handle you want, you won’t have any problems purchasing one. Good luck!!

I just got my first extra mini cch this season too, and I am surprised how much I love it. The small is my favorite size, but my SA could only find the extra mini, so I said yes, but thought I might end up returning it. But luckily, I had switched over to the iPhone SE last year, and it easily fits in the extra mini cch.
a smaller phone is SO much better for me. At home I use my iPad, which is sync with my phone, so there is no worry about viewing things on a small screen. And when I am out, handling a smaller phone is just so much easier. And I definitely admit that my move to a smaller phone was in great part influenced by my love of mini bags.

And the added bonus is that the iPhone SE was less than half the price of the larger phones. So I was able to get a Chanel phone case for it, and the price came out to about the same for both the phone and the case as it would have for just the larger model phone.

I realize that some people need the upgraded features of the larger phones. But I would 100% recommend any mini bag lover to take a look at the smaller phones on the market.
I thought I was the only one who got a new phone to accommodate the extra mini.

I purchased mine in late January and didn’t have much of a purchase history (just a pair of sunglasses).

I think you will be totally ok! Not sure they will have any left though depending where you go.
